Gay Days discount on park tickets?

Last year, we saved a lot by purchasing the special Gay Days discounted park tickets, but I haven't seen a similar offer so far this year. Maybe it's too early - I don't remember what month I purchased them online last year, but I know that they shipped them in September. Does anyone remember when the offer first became available for purchase last year?

Ok, this is probably a dumb question and I feel really stupid asking but here it goes...

I'm not gay and will not be going during Gay Days. Can I still get the tickets?

Yes, you can. They don't make you show your "gay membership card" or anything. lol! kidding!
They won't be delivered until September 24, and your first day of use must be before December 13.

There won't be a place on the ticket that even mentions gay days. It will just be marked as a convention ticket. I have used them before and have had my clients use them before -- no problem, just a great discount for those of us going in the Fall.

The one thing I am not sure of (I can't remember) is if these special convention hoppers include Early Entry. Maybe someone else can answer that.

We used these tickets last year. They do not include early entry. Still though, it is an excellent value. I was very pleased as it saved our group a substantial amount.

Last year we bought 3 day hoppers from the Gay Days convention site. They did not include EE.

It was a good savings. Our 3 day hoppers were about the price of advance purchase 2 day hoppers.

We stayed at PP to get our EE perk.

Ok my question on these tickets...

Disneylands website says regular price is $179, discount to $159
This website says regular price is $169...but a huge discount at $125

Why are the regular prices different...seems fishy to me, but to good of a deal for me to pass up and not research..

Any info on this??

Tracy, these prices are offered to many convention attendees, not just specifically for Gay Days. I have seen them offered for other "techie" conventions and have bought them then as well. They can offer the low prices because of the high volume of sales / group pricing. They are completely legit, like I mentioned above as I have used them and have referred many others to use them. I will be ordering them for my family of 5 for our trip in Nov.

Great thanks! But why do they have a regular price that is $10 cheaper than DL?

Ticket price at the gates for the 3-day hopper is $179

Ticket price at any DLR Hotel for hotel guests is standardly less, hence the $169 "regular price".

If you purchase your 3-day hopper in advance from the DL website, it's $159.

Getawaytoday.com and ARES travel also offers them at a discounted rate.

Lots of different prices floating around out there. . .

Thanks! My oldest Son and I both have hoppers so I just need to get DH one. Sounds like a deal to me!

Do the tickets actually get delivered? I thought you just printed something off on your computer and exchanged it at the gate for a ticket.

Hmmm... when I click on the above link I get a message about the September 19, 2007 deadline already being passed.

Is it just my computer?

You can buy these tickets until September 29. Go to gaydaysanaheim dot com to get access to the Disney page for the tickets. They can be used until Oct. 14.

Does anyone know if this type of discount is available for any other large convention. The NAMM is on while I will be there - that's a very large convention from what I hear. I wonder if they have tickets I can participate in ??

Anyone know ?

They can be used between 9-30-08-10-14-08 but you can use them past 10-14-08 if your first day is on 10-14-08 so a 5 day pass can be used to 10-19-08.

There is no MM with these passes and you can not add days to these passes either. So it is what it is cheap passes if you can use them in this timeframe.

Thanks !

This would save me quite a bit of money...

But I do have another question or two...

1-Is there a list of conventions that this rebate applies to ? What if my convention is not on that list - can I just "say" I'm with one of the other conventions ?

2- I'm not sure I understand the date part... The description says
Valid for the number of days on ticket for three (3) days prior to specified convention date for a total of 14 consecutive day period. Dates vary according to convention
So if my convention is Jan 14-16, I can use them starting Jan 11 but no later than Jan 24th (14 days later)
Then the fine print at the bottom says
All of these tickets expire on the third day after the last day of the specified convention. Dates vary according to convention.
So that would mean they would expire on Jan 19th ...

Which is it ? Jan 19th or 24th (I will be at DLR after my conference, for 3 days between Jan 17-21st so it makes a difference to me !)

Thanks !
Julie
