Gay Days at Disneyland Oct 6-8

I am so excited that my husband and I are going to be at Gay Days this year - this was completely by chance. I am a law enforcement officer and don't get much time off, but with Columbus Day we were able to score a 4 day weekend! We booked the Disneyland Hotel and this will be our 10th wedding anniversary (10 years commitment ceremony, 8 years legal in Iowa, 4 years in our state of Minnesota and federal recognition with the end of DOMA, and 2 years in the whole USA...man it is difficult keeping up with all these numbers

Then we found out we will be there during Gay Days as well! Does anyone have experience going? Is there something we need to prepare for or sign up for? Are the events in the parks or outside? In Disney hotels or off-site hotels...so much research to do, but my first stop was disboards

We were also able to score Halloween tickets on 10/6 - we are getting our Junior Woodchuck outfits ready!

There are actually many events, most out of the parks. You can find the line up on http://www.gaydaysanaheim.com/ The in park events are basically meeting at certain rides at certain times of the day and a lunch meet up. Click on the schedule link at the top of their front page for everything. Stuff does get added as the event gets closer. Most people will wear red Tshirts to the parks.

You'll find information regarding events there since it's not an official Disney event.

For park tickets through the event, call and have them added to your hotel reservation.
This has to be done before you get there, I'm not sure how many days in-advance. But if you do it soon you'll be fine.
