Here is a belated, delayed, and bewildered report from Gay Days Anaheim. Sorry if it is light on the Gay Days and heavy on the Halloweentime, but I was kinda distracted by the many, umm, sights of Gay Days and kinda forgot to take many pictures.
Just a few thoughts before I get going. This was my first trip to Gay Days. I do Disneyland solo a lot, because none of my friends really get the Disney thing as they call it. Plus it is nice to be able to drive 3 hours for a long weekend away from work, and it forces me not to go into my store on my days off. That whole work /life balance thing that is always on my end of year review! HAHAHAHA
I had a blast at Gay Days. I did not end up doing it solo. On Wednesday, I put a shout out on Craigslist to see if anyone else was going solo and if they wanted to hit up some of the things during the weekend. I had planned to do a half a day on my own and then the rest with new friends if it worked out OK. I actually made 2 great new friends that I spent the weekend with and have new park partners for my future visits.
I chickened out on the meets for the other message board again. One of these times, I will make that gosh darn noon meet on Sunday. I am actually good about meeting people, but for some reason, it is one of my stigmas. I think it is because when I read the reports from the meets, they seem to close to each other that I am intimidated. And that actually takes some doing. But I WILL go one of these times and just say HELLO to all of them.
Anyways, Here are the sights of the weekend to me. Enjoy it for what it is worth.
Lets start at the entrance!
And the Decorations
Next up I fell in love with a man named JACK!
