Gay Day weekend and Halloween party crowd question?

OK,
If you are to be there from half of Oct 2nd through the morning of Oct 6th, would you spend the time & money to go to the Halloween party at DCA on the 3rd?
Or would my friday night better be used on DL since the rest of the weekend would be packed?

FWIW, I would go to the Halloween party on the third - Friday night is still going to be packed at DL but it probably won't be packed at the party and you can do most of the rides in DCA at that time - and see some characters that are not usually out (the villains!!!).

Thanks! I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if TSM will be open during the party? But the DH is going to miss it because he won't be coming in until the next day... sigh... decisions decisions.

You should add your information to the When are You Going, Where are You Staying? thread, which lists a bunch of dates and hotels for members' trips here. I know you will be at the PPH at the same time I am in October, but you may find that other people on that list are going at the same time your group (and mine) are going!

I agree with doing the Halloween Party. October has become a pretty crowded month, between Gay Days, Columbus Day, Halloween festivities, and A LOT of fall breaks in the country. Safe to say all weekends (and even weekdays) will be BUSY. Unless gas prices are still driving people away! LOL

If I went to Mickeys Trick or Treat Party on Oct 3 I'd buy one of the official Gay Days t-shirts and I'd wear it to the party and I'd tell everyone that I'm dressed as a Gay Dayer!

We went to Gay Days last year, and it was crowded, but managable. I've seen it way more crowded..

It looks like there will be quite a few of us from DISboards there at DLR during that October 2- 6 period of time! That will be amusing. We could be standing in lines behind each other and not even realize we are all from DISboards!

I remember two years ago we went on a Gay day and i had no idea. While i have no issues with the Gay community it was difficult for me to explain to my kids what they were seeing... I was not prepared at all.. lol

Sure, we can meet up, as long as I don't change our dates to October 10-12 (like my friend wants to do)! When it gets closer to October and everyone knows what their plans are, we can figure something out. I know that my friend and I who are going are supposed to meet up with another friend and her husband but I don't know if they are joining us on the 3rd or 4th yet. Everything will be kind of last minute and confusing, I am sure! I am hoping the trip stays as is and I don't have to cancel. I have had one hurdle after another to jump over in the last several months (a few crises just in the last few hours!!) and I am hoping that nothing else comes up that will cause a cancellation or postponement of this trip!

I see from the 'When are you going, Where are you staying' thread that there will be a few other DISboarders at DLR around the same time, but I don't see any trace of anyone else staying at the PPH on the entire list! Isn't that weird? I see a bunch of GCH guests and some DLH guests, and many, many HoJo or other Good Neighbor hotels, but no other PPH! And yet, the CM that I spoke to in reservations said the PPH is all booked up for October (with the exception of the expensive concierge rooms). She said DLH is all booked too, but there are still some rooms at GCH (that is because it is so expensive!). Interesting.

And if we get a couple more people maybe we can make a mini dis-meet just to say Hi and stuff.
If things doesn't work out that's ok too. I'll just keep wondering if people in front of me in lines are dis-people (ok, dis-people doesn't sound right... maybe dis-member? OK, that sounds even worse... dis-peeps... yeah... that's better.)

Oh, really? Great! Your info must be on the 'When are you going...?' thread, but I don't recall seeing you on there (I probably skipped right over it). Where are you staying? At one of the Good Neighbors or a Disney hotel?

We will have to start a whole separate 'Who is going the first week in October thread?' just to narrow it down. So far, we know you, Cseca and I will all be there during those days. I know I saw some others too.

BTW - your little boy is so cute in those pictures!
