Gatwick North Terminal Lounges

We have booked a hotel and flight package to Rome with BA and have discovered that we are in business class. I believe this gives us access to their lounge at Gatwick.

Having never used a lounge before - are they before or after security?

As far as I know, all the lounges are after security there. We've used lounges at other airports but not at Gatwick and I have not seen one before security that I recall. A quick check on LGW indicates that the lounges there are all after security. Unless there is another one?

If you get the choice, always go after security. I don't think I could relax clock watching and uncertain of how long it would take to clear. The beauty of the lounge is you can sit and unwind in comfort before you fly without having to worry about anything except making your way to the gate when it's time to leave.

It does make sense to be after security, but I couldn't find the info on the BA or Gatwick sites.

I think BA have their own lounge.
