When doing the twilight checkin at Gatwick did you go to the hotel first and then go across to the airport or did you go to the airport first, park in the shortstay carpark which I presume they have as this is the first time flying from Gatwick, check in and then checkin at the hotel?

Thanks Claire:jester:

Hi Claire
We stayed at a Copthorne about 5 miles from Gatwick a couple of years ago and had to pick up a ticket, then parked, then checked in. We also missed the bus back to the hotel by 5 minutes and had to wait an hour so try and find out what times they run. that was 2 years ago though so things may have changed.

hi we travelled down by coach so i am not sure about car parks but we did the twilight checkin first then went to the moathouse next, it saved us having to pay coach fare twice but that wont matter if you have a car, it might be cheaper if you are using the moathouses parking while yopu are away to park and checkin there first and catch the coach to the airport and back, it is 2.00 each way for adults each but kids are free, if the parking is as expensive in gatwick as it is in manchester airport this might work out better for you, hope this helps some susie2:jester:

Hi Susie 2

The price we are paying for the hotel also includes 15 days parking. As far as I am aware we are to drive the car to the airport carpark on the morning of the flight. The night we stay in the hotel we can use the hotel carpark.
