Gatwick Clubhouse closure

just bloody typical!!

Virgin have announced that the Gatwick Clubhouse is being closed for refurbishment 1st September and reopened in November

We are due to fly October on our return leg back from LGW to BGI - I'd like to know what they're going to give us UC passengers in compensation or alternative, I can see us being offered the V-room instead but not quite the same is it

My neighbour was told by VA she'd get V-Room access instead. Not pleased to say the least!!!

I'm sure others have said that you will be offer V-room

DH was told on his recent flight that they were opening up the V-Room for Upper Class passengers whilst the Clubhouse is closed.

I sent an email to virgin about this and got this reply

Dear Paula

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delayed response.

We are constantly reviewing ways in which our Clubhouses can be improved, and
Gatwick is on the list for review at present. At this time, we are not able to
confirm any specific dates or time frame that any changes may take place.

I am also flying UC to MCO in October and feel a bit cheated that the Clubhouse will be closed. The V-room just isn't the Clubhouse.

We're flying in September so slightly peeved but appreciate it needs doing.. At least we won't have to bother getting to the airport early to enjoy the amenities...
