Does anyone have any information on this lounge? Were flying to Vegas in a few weeks and wondered if its worthwhile going in there before we fly? What sort of price is it aswell im struggling to find this?

The only Virgin lounge I've been in is free. It had free fod and drink, a manicure lady and hair dresser and some free arcade games.

I think theres also the VRoom. Which is also a free entry thing for people who've booked their holiday as a package through VH.

there used to be the "clubhouse" at Gatwick which was £35pp but i'm not sure that this is still open. You could have a full breakfast, alcohol and a beauty treatment all in the price. The new v room is £17pp or £20 on the day but the Virgin Florida brochure states it is only for Virgin holidays bookings so i guess this means if you have just booked a flight with them you may not be allowed in! It serves snacks, breakfast rolls and soft drinks - you have to pay for alcohol.

Would be useful for me to know how you get on as I probably won't be booking my next trip with VH but will still be doing V flights. I thought of trying one of the servisair lounges if i couldn't book the v room.

Hope you have a great time

Claire

What are the servisair lounges???

We only wanted to go in for a few beers and abit of breakfast, but it could probably end up cheaper going in frankie & bennys!!! Ive sent an e-mail to Virgin though, so ill let you know how I get on

hi, Servisair lounges are just airport lounges. I just googled them for Gatwick - you cn proba

sorry about last message my fingers went mad!!
Servisair lounges are just airport lounges, they take you out of the hustle and bustle of the departure lounge and you will get a gaurunteed place to sit as they should only book a certain number in. You can usually use them for the three hours before your flight. I just googled them for Gatwick and I think they are about the same price as the v room. I went in one at heathrow in 2005. They only served snacks but did serve alcohol in with the price, I'm not sure about the gatwick ones. If i can't get into the v room i will definately be booking a servisair lounge - either direct or with a travel agent.
Keep me posted!

The Virgin Clubhouse Lounge at Gatwick has been completely refurbished. We haven't been in it since the improvements, but it looks lovely. Check it out here. If you're flying UC, access to the lounge is free, otherwise you can book it through Virgin Holidays (even if you've booked flights only with Virgin Atlantic). On the face of it, you can book it online through the VH website, but it never works. You'll need to phone.

As others have said, the V-Room is the lounge for Virgin Holidays customers. We managed to book it even though we'd booked flights only with Virgin Atlantic, by phoning the Frequent Virgins number (the Virgin Holidays loyalty club), but that was back in November 2008. You can see photos and a review in my Trip Report.

We used the V room at Gatwick before our Vegas holiday last year, we paid £17 each. I think it was worth it as your away from the real crowds of the airport & its a relaxed atmosphere.

It does get busy in there though but not crazy busy

The V-Room is very worth it, for the peace & quiet & great views of the runway. It's a one-off charge which can be pre-booked if you have purchased your entire holiday from Virgin. It's also nice you can take care of any VISA documents in the lounge beforehand as they hand them out.

Free food & drink, video games for the kids & just relaxation.

IF like us you have just booked a flight with Virgin they won't let you pre-book the V-Room although speaking with a friend who works for the airline if you turn up on the day & they don't have a full rotation of bookings so long as you show your Virgin flight ticket they will likely let you in for the inflated on the door charge. It's just the company way of extracted a higher price for the service than allowing you to pre-book.

if you get the chance to go, go.

great place for adults and kids before your flight to relax and chill out would recommened to anybody:thumbsup2

Great to see us Grays lads infiltrating the boards. IF only they would twin the town with Disney..

I've just called the Frequent Virgin Club number and asked if I can book the V Lounge for a flight only booking (with VA) and they said that I couldn't.

You have to book a full package with them

The Clubhouse is £50 per person so pretty pricey. I must admit I am tempted as I love to have somewhere quiter to sit before a flight and it looks like you could get something nice to eat as well

Isnt that for the Heathrow Clubhouse? We phoned about the Gatwick one 2 weeks ago and were told it was still £35pp?

The No1 lounge in the Gatwick South Terminal is also pretty good. The foods nothing special but it does include beer, wine, house branded spirits and has a lovely big window with a view over the runway :goodvibes

Yep def Gatwick, I guess they have put the prices up as it's recently been refurbished

The Clubhouse is pretty amazing, if my time at the airport wasn't pretty tight I'd happily pay the £50 pp.
