Gators at WDW

I've seen 2 or 3 the last few years while going to the MK by bus. They were in those drainage ponds on the left side.

Hey, wait, in the water around Tom Sawyer Island. Ewww! Ok, so I need to take deep breaths now.... Our insane raft driver on the way back from TSI literally crashed into the dock and I thought "great, here's where we all fall in!" Now I'm really glad we didn't fall in! (Yea, that was fun...you know it's going to be a good time when you're flying at the dock and my husband grabs our DD and tells me hold on, she's going to slam into the dock. The head CM on the dock yelled for everyone to hold on and then he took over the raft!)

Is this why they don't have canoes at MK, the way they do at DL? So no one is surprised by getting face to face with a gator?

We saw this gator just below the wooden walkway in Frontierland (just across from the Harpers Mill on Tom Sawer Island)! - sounds like the same spot that Elmo2WDW saw their gators!!

maybe have your husband go parasailing or water skiing( think you can water ski, maybe not) and dangle a dead chicken from his leg..he might see one then and save you the gatorland expedition

As far as DH not getting to do "his own thing" he is already going to Kennedy Space Station, A basketball match, playing golf, etc. I don't mind.....I just would rather spend my one AND ONLY week at WDW IN WDW!

Playing golf! Maybe he'll see gators there. DH golfs at WDW, and he's seen lots of gators on different courses. I think he saw them on Magnolia, Osprey Ridge, and Eagle Pines.

In May 2204, while riding the Riverboat, we saw a gator around Tom Sawyer's island. Probably about 4-5 feet in length. He (Could've been a female..I just assume it's male) may have been the same guy who others have seen around there as well..
This year, I kept my eyes peeled while on Tom Sawyer's island.. Just in case.

My DS will be thrilled. I will also keep my eyes peeled. I have never even given thought there would be wild alligators in WDW - it will be fun to see who can spot one first this time
