Hi, We are now planning our trip for 2015. It will be an extra special trip as we are going on our honeymoon with DS8 and DS5! My fiancé love Gators and although I have been to Orlando six times now, I have never bee to Gatorland. Is it any good? Is it a full day or something you can do in a couple of hours? Any views or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :-)

Yes, Gatorland is worth a visit, especially if you like alligators! It's probably a half day park. Be sure and do the gator feeding! They also have a zip line around the park, which I have not done.

We had a good time here too. It is only a half day park to. The animal shows are pretty good but amateurish.

I went as a kid and it always stuck with me. I went again last year for the first time as an adult and loved it. It really is only a half day activity. There are lots of discounts available for admission....2 for 1 in the entertainment book, AAA/CAA with membership card at the entrance, Orlando coupon books
etc.

The shows are pretty good and they are timed well. You can almost go from one to the next.

They have a path that you can walk through natural swamp area. It was nice to see but a little nerve wracking as there are signs all along saying that there are venomous snakes.

Be sure to take the time to read the info that is posted all through the park. We learned a lot.

The day we were there they were offering half price ziplining for about the first hour the park was open. I wish we had done it but DH and DD did not want to zip over an Alligator pond.

We went to Gatorland for the first time last week. We enjoyed it and the price was good. We enjoyed the shows, fed the gators. Per PP, I was a little nervous during the swamp walk too because of the warning signs, and the walk ended up being a bit long for us with a 4.5 yr old. There's a small splash pad area which my son really enjoyed, we lingered there for over an hour. We left the park early afternoon.

We had a great time at Gatorland, and would definitely recommend it :thumbsup2 . Since's its a solid half-day attraction, its fun to combine it with an airboat ride to round out a full "gator day" (if you are interested in an airboat tour and looking for suggestions, I can't say enough about Wild Willy's....they are awesome!).

Gatorland is highlighted in one of my trip reports (specifically, that from December 2012). You can read about our experience, and see lots of photos, by clicking here:

looking forward to doing this in our Sept Trip the snake signs would give me the chills don't know if I will walk that snake path lol!

my husband and i did gatorland our last trip with our young kids and were board. the kids splash pad was cool. We like the birds and the gators were cool. we went in early march so it was cooler and the gators were not all that active. the visit may have been more fun in the summer when the gators are more active. but I dont think we will go back. we only stayed about 3 hours.

Thanks for all you feedback. It will really help with our planning; however, I'm really not liking the sound of those snakes! Lol

We did the Night Shine at Gatorland. It was lots of fun! It was inexpensive, and the tour guide was insightful and entertaining. I would go again.
