hi guys
whilst i was in orlando,early november,there was a fire at gatorland and i was wondering if anyone knew how the place was getting along.as the fire destoyed the whole front of the place

Gosh, I'm really surprised they opened so quickly! We were in Florida too, and the pictures of it burning really looked as through the whole place had gone. That's how it was originally being reported too.

I'm really pleased the fire wasn't as serious as they first thought.

Gatorland has tremendous community support (and, one would assume, a large insurance policy) and they've made huge strides in getting things fixed up since the fire. As devestating as it was, they're doing a fabulous job rebuilding. We're so pleased to see them up and running again.

Good for them, I have never been as it's never really appealed to us however, it's great they have turned things around after the terrible fire - excellent work by all concerned.

I am glad to learn it is open. We have not been since 1998 but think it is a good time to give them some support by going back next year.
