How much time should we set aside?

What are the not miss things to take in?

Is there anywhere to eat lunch while there?

Thanks, Jen

I don't think it will take a full day. We have been there a couple of times. Last year we were there with our 3 small kids and saw 2 shows and walked all around and ate lunch in the covered pavilion area (they sell fast food). It took around 4 hours, I guess. We walked fairly leisurely too. We ended up going to MK that evening and had a wonderful time watching the light parade and riding some rides!!

Have fun!!:cool1:

I don't remember for sure as it's been a number of years since our visit, but I think we were there for only a few hours. It's definitely a minor attraction compared to the theme parks. Don't go too early in the day as the gators are very immobile if it's too cool outside. They liven up as the day grows warmer.

It's only a half day, at most. There is a snack bar that serves, of all things, fried gator tail, along with the standard snack bar fare.

I have been to Gatorland at least 15 times, but I haven't been in several years. It doesn't take too long to see, but it is a fun place to visit. They had a bad fire there about a year ago. I hope it looks good again. They have several different animals along with thousands of gators. I wouldn't miss the Gator Jumparoo show and maybe take the kids on thier little train. I'd set aside 3-4 hours to enjoy Gatorland. They have a snack bar, I remember my dad getting the gator nuggets years ago. I would pass there and have lunch nearby.

We went last fall and had a really good time. It was corny. How long you go depends on how old your children are. My 12 yo wanted to stay longer then 4 hours.

Gatorland is one of my favorite places outside of the "World." It is so kitschy. My last time there was a little over a year ago. It is about a 3-4 visit. MY favorite thing is feeding the gators. My last visit was relatively chilly for central Florida and the gators were a little tame because of the weather. I also recommend the gator wrestling. But, a lot of the fun is just walking around...there are a LOT of gators there.

Oh, I forgot. As for food, you can actually eat gator (if I remember correctly, it's fried gator).
