Gatlinburg

Has anybody stayed in Gatlinburg or the surrounding area.

We are looking for somewhere to stay for June 2003. Family reunion .

We would like to have access to a pool if possible...most of the family are leaning towards actually away from the main strip..in the mountains.

We are looking for 2-3-4 bedrooms chalets or condos.

If you have any input..please help!

Volunteer Cabin Rentals is about 7 miles from the Pigeon Forge area. We stayed there in April and were very happy with the view as well as the location still being close to everything.

The other nice thing about these cabins are that they have a 2 night rental when not a holiday weekend. This is a rarity in that area of Tennessee....usually the minimum is 3 nights.

I would make sure I get very specific directions. The 'turn off' for this is not marked.

They don't have a pool, but they do have hot tubs.

If you want to stay in the city....there is a place called the Castle. I have never stayed there but it is suppose to be great for family reunions. I believe some of their 'facilities' hold 20 adults or more.

Cities away from the city are Wears Valley and Townsend.

thanks believe...! I will check into the Castle...unfortunely..with my kids I think a pool is a must!

I don't know that you will find a chalet/cabin with a pool. Good Luck!

There are some with pools, but sometimes they're a shared community pool between the chalet company's clients. It would be hard to find a private pool.
