Gates Open

On another thread a poster mentioned that the gates open 30 minutes prior to the park opening time.
Can someone elaborate on this?
If the park opens at 10 can I enter the park at 9.30 and head of the A&E line?
How does this work with EMH/MM? Do you have to show your room keys/MM ticket to access rides?
Is this also true for DCA?

When the park opens at 9 or 10 am, the turnstiles will open at 830 or 930 respectively. You may then line up for rope drop. Generally, Minnie and Friends, and Starbucks are open. There will be ropes blocking the entrance to the various lands. You won't be allowed access to Fantasyland to line up for A&E, however, you can be at the head of the line heading there.

If you head in for MM/EMH, you will need your room key /ticket with MM to get past the ropes to the rides.

Same for DCA.

If you aren't staying onsite you will want to make sure it's not on a day with EMH/MM as the line will already be quite long from those guests
