Gates/Airlines at MCO with Full Body Scanners (no debate)

MCO only has the full body scanners at gates 1-59. Airlines using these gates are:

Miami Air
Spirit
Sun Country

If you have first hand knowledge (saw the scanner in use) of use of the scanner please post your gate # and airline here.

No debating, no personal accounts, just a listing of airlines and gates using the scanner please.

No discussion/argument, but not sure what you're asking, either.

FlyerTalk, being dedicated to flight discussion and topics as it is, would have the most up-to-date information. All these gates are in a single branch of the four MCO airside terminals. They all, therefore, share a single security checkpoint (and so, equipment) before passengers can board the tram to get to the gates.

Since you don't want personal accounts, are you asking if the backscatter scanners are the only devices at this set of gates?

It sounds like the OP is just letting others know which gates the scanners are currently in use for, and therefore if you are not flying one of those airlines you will most likely not be subject to the full body scans.

It works for me because my airline or gate is not included for my flight next week. So that's a relief. But we shall see.
Plus there are none installed at my home airport.

Yes, Skelooch is correct. I wanted to know if anyone had seen Full Body Scanners at any gate other than those listed above. Flyertalk admits their info is only as reliable as those who report it, so I was wanting to compile a list of airlines/gates that would NOT be subjected to the full body scanners.

And my home airport doesn't have the scanners either.

This is correct, they are also installed on the 60-129 gates as well...meaning ALL flights in and out of MCO will possibly subject you to this scanner...be warned

Yep, pretty straight forward. The answer is that BOTH security checkpoints have the scanners, according to reports on this thread. There are 4 airside terminals (1-39, 30-59, 60-99, and 100-129). 1-59 all use the same security checkpoint and 60-129 has their own checkpoint at the other end of the main terminal.

They are there, they havent been fully activated yet. They think either by Thanksgiving, or shortly thereafter.

Departed on AA 1295 to LAX from Gate 16 on November 12, did not have to go through a full-body scanner. In fact I didn't even notice the new machines.

Well, if your "home" airport has them, you could be "selected." In otherwords, know what is present at any airport you will be using. Even a "stop over" airport. Some of them make you leave and reenter security in order to get from one gate/terminal to another, you might get misguided and accidently leave security, or (in rare cases) there could be a "terminal dump."

The bottom line: you should assume that you could be selected for screening at MCO, no matter what airline you are flying.
