Gaston at Disneyland?

I met him today! He was wandering around by the carousel and Pinocchio!

I was actually taking a picture of something else and he walked up behind me and said "Wouldn't you rather have a picture of me? Ladies love Gaston."

Highlight of my day. No one takes selfies like Gaston!

This has got to be the best job at Disneyland.

I am ridiculously excited about Gaston coming to DL. We met him at WDW in 2014, and he's definitely one of the best character interactions! (It seems the villains all are! Dr. Facilier is a lot of fun, too!)

Not only is the live action movie coming out, but the Beauty and the Beast 25th Anniversary DVD is coming out next month. The Disney Store is full of Beauty and the Beast merchandise right now for the 25th anniversary. I've seen rumors that he will probably stick around past Halloween as the 25th anniversary of the official movie release date is November 22, 2016.
The official release date of which movie? The live action B&tB doesn't come out till next March (and I cannot wait for it!)

The original release of the animated Beauty and the Beast- was November 22, 1991-- the 25th anniversary is November 22, 2016. (Well technically if you want to be historically accurate I think they screened it at the El Capitan on November 13 or maybe even November 10 (I've seen both dates reported), but then the nationwide release date was November 22).

Darn, thanks!

tablefor5, you really need to get Gaston's autograph...he does sign at WDW so this is a perfect and reasonable reason to head East... (Helping).

I can't wait to meet Gaston at Disneyland. I loved, loved, loved him at WDW (he signed my DD's autograph book - it was her sweet 16, so he was really obnoxious to her - and then refused to give it back to her or me. He flagged down a young boy who was walking by and asked him to give the book to me...after all, 'I can't be seen give a book to a girl!' Quote Gaston).

Lol, too funny!
I am going to give it a try. What if I put a mirror in the book. Hahaha

My wife and daughter went to DL last weekend for a drama camp. They had a Gaston sighting in Fantasyland! So he is appearing at DL...finally! He's the male version of the step-sisters, so this is a must do for character meetings.

We saw him two weeks ago walking on the path near the Alice Card bathrooms. Someone asked for his autograph and he looked horrified and said "Books are for Belle!". Then she pleaded with him and he said "I don't even know how to write." Too funny. He was really great.

Disneyland definitely needs him around more. Same for the Step-sisters. It's more than just a photo-op....it's an experience!

Agree! LOVE the step-sisters! Some of our best character interactions ever! And I would so love to see Gaston! Fingers crossed we bump into him on our November trip!

We saw gaston on Thursday the 22nd. He does not sign autographs tho, but did interact with my LO and took pictures with us!

I'm adding him to my sketchbook/autograph book now! Even if he'd just sign an X... I could take a selfie with him and put it on the page! He sounds like a real hoot!

I don't think the point is that he doesn't want to appear literate. That's just a cover story for them not wanting him to get bogged down signing books with a line of people. They want to keep him moving.

Gaston was roaming around Fastasyland last week - Wednesday and Thursday I think were the days I saw him. I was wearing a birthday button and he said he had the best present for me. Himself! He told me I was to have the honor of basking in the glory of his presence for my birthday.

My husband and I are not huge fans of characters (Well we are from afar..a small phobia I guess..) but Gaston is one my husband actually wants to see. We're less creeped out by the face actors hahaha!
