I think you'll need a LOT of luck to pass ROFR, as there is still a long waitlist for direct buys at BWV - and your contract isn't stripped. Keep those fingers crossed.

Even though there are waiting list some BWV have gone through from 55.00PP - 75.00PP within the last 3 - 4 weeks. Someone else posted they were waiting for VWL Aug UY and 2 have passed this pass week for low 60.00's. Not really sure what Disney is doing but they are NOT taking all contracts even the lower priced ones.

We seem to have a lot in common! Maybe we'll be at BWV at the same time and meet in person. I'm already planning to go next October.

I'll be there Sept 01-20. Not sure when we are going to be down again, probably not till next Sept because of the way my daughter's school vacation are going to work out.

Congrats. Best wishes on ROFR. Those are 1999 prices. Almost exactly the same, points wise, as our first contract bought back then. Of course we had a bad case of addonitis for most of the 2000's, and bought three more contracts.

I should clarify the #'s of the contract:

160 pts, Dec UW, BWV

$10,880 price / $68 per pt
+ $642 (110 points coming 12/2013, seller borrowed 50 pts from 2013)
$11,522 TOTAL

The contract includes 100 banked points from 2012 paid by the seller. My 2013 trip is already booked so I won't need points until 2014. So on 12/1/2013 I'll have 210 points....my 2014 trip will cost 64 points...leaving me with a surplus of 146 points which I'll rent. If I get $12 per point I'll recoup $1752...effectively making the cost of the contract $9770 or $61 per point.

Speaking of renting...I bet people will pay more than $12 to someone who can book BWV (or BC) 11 months out and get them a room during F&W.

Welcome Home...indeed. BWV is an excellent location and congratulations are in order. I have owned at Old Key West since 1993/ and bought Saratoga Springs later on a Disney Cruise. Welcome to our "happy family" of DVC owners!
