just rented from dollar Thursday. They have a be policy that u have to fill up within 10 miles of airport and show receipt on return.

Anyone know of a gas station close to airport?

Exit 8 (Jetport Dr/Orange Ave) off of 528 (one of the last exits before the airport) there is a 7/11 with gas. It is straight right back onto 528 and just over 3 miles to the parking garage. Make sure to ask for a receipt in case Dollar asks to see.

If you're using 417 (the Greenway) to get to the airport, use exit 14 (Landstar Blvd.) which is just a few miles from the airport. Turn left onto Landstar Blvd. and there is a Mobile station just up the road on the right. It's then an easy turn left back onto Landstar and back onto 417.

Good suggestion. Just be sure to have change for the tolls as you get on/off there. I don't know how much it is (I have a Sunpass) for sure, but expect that a couple of dollars worth of quarters will more than take care of it.

I-4 East and onto 528 (Beach line) east.
Watch for and take what looks like exit ramp to pay toll if you need to pay cash. Suggest getting receipt.
Get off 528 at its exit 9 (Tradeport)
Left and cross under. Nice cheap gas station is right there on left.
Leaving gas station take a couple of lefts and into middle lane.
Required right onto McCoy.
Go a little more than a mile, right at light (436; Semoran) goes directly into airport.

Ditto on the 7-11 on Tradeport and then taking the frontage road to bypass the last toll.

At the end of my trip last January, I took FL 528 all the way out to Exit 11, Semoran Blvd., and then went north about one mile to the new(ish) Wawa station at the NW corner of Semoran and Lee Vista Blvd. Then I headed back the other way on Semoran all the way south into the airport. You lose the advantage of the partial toll bypass mentioned above, but for me the convenience was worth it.

Good choice also. Warning to others though; Don't stop at the two gas stations that are closer to the airport!!!!! You'll get ripped off to the tune of an extra $2/gallon or more!!!!

Unless something has changed recently, there are no tolls getting off/on the Greenway at Landstar Blvd.

Rented from Dollar this past Feb., they didn't ask for a receipt.

We take 417 and get off at Landstar Blvd. Which is the last exit on 417 before the airport exit. When getting off 417 turn right there is a Ractrak gas station less than a 1/4 mile down the road on the left. Easy in easy out. Another note is if you need a grocery store stop on your way to WDW, across the street from the Ractrak gas station on Landstar Blvd. is a Publix.

The woman at Budget told us this also but when we dropped off the car no one asked for a receipt. This was the end of October beginning of November.

Rental companies are very inconsistent in their enforcement of this policy so it's best to be prepared with a receipt so you can avoid a potential 'gotcha.'

Another vote for Wawa gas.
Wawa
6500 S Semoran Blvd
Orlando, FL 32822

Definitely avoid the gas stations between Wawa and the airport - ridiculous prices!

I use the Shell/Circle K station at the Boggy Creek exit (South entrance to Orlando International). It's about 2 miles south of the exit.

I just returned my rental car about an hour ago. We got gas at the RaceTrac on Landstar Blvd. Very convenient, but there is a .50 toll.
