I have read a few posts referring to gas shortages in GA and Kentucky. Does anybody know what other states are having problems? We are driving to WDW from Ohio in less than 2 weeks and if any states we are passing through are having problems we will have to make sure to plan ahead. TIA

Prayers to all.

God help us all if this is already happening.

Well, put WV on the list. One Sheetz is out of gas, another gas station put in an order for gas today, was told it would be late next week before it came in.

The pumps are running dry in the Orlando area. FeralPeg posted last night that she had a problem getting gas. Someone else did as well--Poohnatic maybe? I was able to top off this morning, but they only had regular (which is what I use) and the girl told me todays shipment had been cancelled and they would probably run out by noon.

If it helps allay your fears at all, Georgia is doing pretty well (at least here in the Atlanta metro area). Prices went up pretty sharply, but the vast majority of stations have gas. They have one of the major pipelines that supplies Atlanta already running again at partial capacity, so we’re not without gas.

I'll second that down here in Savannah,Ga. too. The rumor spread like wildfire here yesterday that there was a shortage and there were lines like crazy at the pumps. The gov. actually had to come on t.v. and tell everyone that the rumors were false and we didn't have a shortage.

some gas stations in atlanta are out waiting for trucks -- north metro here--I am going to try later today--

The Governer here has claimed a state of emergency to stop service stations for the over-charging. The gas place was at 25% capacity earlier today and is expecting to be full running next week.

good luck to all :sunny:

No apparent shortages here..............

There was none of the panic buying evident in other markets.

Some major problems in Western NC. Have you checked on airfare? Airtran is having a huge sale....you would probably end up spending less in airfare than you would in gas from that far away. We're flying from Charlotte, NC for about $50 more than it would have cost us to drive the 10 hours....

Shortages in Alabama too. Apparently lots of our gas comes in through a pipeline via Mississippi, which was not working as there's no power. I heard today it (the pipeline) was up to 50% operational. Gas went from 2.50 yesterday to 3.00 today. :earseek: Lots of stations were sold out :(

Just drove from Winter Garden to Clermont, Route 50 to Marsh to 27. Over half the stations had no gas, those that did had at least some pumps bagged. 7-11 seemed to have all pumps open, but a HUGE line. Prices in the $2.79 range for regular, looked like most everyone was out of ultra/premium.

no problems around my place in Michigan. High prices, but plenty of gas.

well when you have tons of people rushing to the gas station who wouldnt normally at that time(which I really think is the case in part) you are going to have a shortage.
