Gas Prices...

Hi all,

We are leaving for WDW and a Disney Cruise in 2 weeks. We are renting a full size car to get us from London, Ontario to Orlando.

Could anyone give me an idea of how much it cost them in gas for this return trip. DH said budget high, but I really have no idea. 3 years ago it cost us $185 US$, but the dollar was also $l.62 then. I am hoping that the dollar now, might compensate for the insane gas prices.

We drove from Burlington to Orlando in our Ford Escape in May and we spent $280USD roundtrip.

We went over to New York State a couple of weeks ago and the price for gas was $2.35 per gallon. Even taking into account the exchange factor we are still paying more here for gas than our southern neighbours. If you know roughly how much mileage you will get highway driving on your car you can figure it out.

It was 175 US for our montana mini van in May of this year to go from southwestern ontario to Disney and back.

We just returned on Saturday from Orlando, we live in Waterloo, Ontario and drove via the I75. We have a montana mini van. The total cost there and back was $235 us and $55cdn.

Not sure which way you are going. However try not to fill up in Northern Ohio or North Florida. They are both more expensive. Also before coming home, fill up at a hess gas station. We stay at Disney's pop century resort and the one gas station was 2.56 gallon and hess was 2.23 gallon.

Try using the above web page. It only works in the US. However type in the state you are entering, the state you are finishing off at and the type of vehicle you drive. It will calculate your expected gas cost. It was only off by $3.00 when we went down. If it doesnt work, let me know and I will tell you another way to find it.

Our drive was from London to Disney and back we were getting about 600K out of half a tank of gas with our Montana.
