Gas Prices - have you seen a major increase?

Yup - it's been going up slowly over the last two weeks here in Canada too.

Don't know what's driving it :confused3 (no pun intended.... :teeth: )

I wish I could be paying some of the prices you guys have! Long Island is an expensive place to live. Gas is about $2.45 right now. I haven't seen it below $2 in who only knows how long. The lowest we got since the summer was about $2.25. I can dream right?

Don't know what has happened over the last several days, but gas prices here have started to decrease. Over the weekend, prices were around $2.27 a gallon. Today, most prices were down to around $2.16.

It was starting to look kind of good around here. It went down to around $2.23 in the end of November, beginning of December. But then it started to go back up again. Now it is up to $2.65. :scared: :crazy2:  :guilty:    :headache: :( :worried:

Up to $2.29 in Atlanta today.

Gone up about 20-25cents the past 2 weeks.

bouncing around all over the place here too-paid 2.00 on 1-2-it went to 2.24
dropped to 2.15-then went to 2.39.

It is 2.23 most places now.

I guess the extremely cold and harsh winter has supplies tight again (as we have had a full half inch of snow this year and few temps below 50 for 3 weeks) :goodvibes

--or maybe they realized that a few people still had some pocket change left after paying their heating bills.

$2.28 off of I-75, south of Dayton. Around my house, it was $2.37, I'm glad I bought it on my way home.

The station up the block from me is 2.59...I would love to be paying the prices some of the people on this thread are paying..I haven't seen it under 2.00 since well before the hurricane season!

I just saw 2.55 this morning. I think the lowest I have paid since the hurricanes has been about 2.33/2.35.

Gotta love New York!

Gas in South Carolina (at least where I live) has gone up over 20 cents per gallon over the last two days. On Tuesday, prices went up about 9 cents. As I was driving home this afternoon, the stations that were $2.15 this morning had increased to $2.25 this afternoon.

Anyone know what's up with this?!
You knew they would drop the price before the holidays to get people to spend and now that they are over, back up they will go. If the prices had stayed as high as they were prior to the holidays, no one would have spent as much on presents and the stores would have suffer. Not good for the economy.
