Gas Apps?

Does anyone know if there is an app out there like Fetch for gas receipts? We don't have gas points where I live, and the Shell, Exxon, etc. apps only work about 10% of the time at our gas stations. My gas spending has gone up a ton recently because of the pandemic and if I can get some rewards back I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

I just have a notebook in the glovebox. Write everything there. Not a fan of apps, all they do is drain my phone battery.
Interesting OP about you spending more in the pandemic. That certainly hasn't been the trend. I'm using so little gas, I'm afraid the gas is going to go bad in the tank. $20 buys me about 7 gallons and lasts 2 months.

Do you have a Sam’s Club nearby? They have a deal for 5% cash back if you use their credit card. Their price is almost always the cheapest in our area saving even more money. They frequently have offers to decrease the annual fee for new members, plus often offer gift cards for signing up for their credit card.

if you don’t have a Sam’s club, download The Gas Buddy App and use it to find out the lowest price per gallon. The price per gallon can fluctuate daily and the app can save a bundle if prices vary by station in your area. Once you find a station with consistently lower prices, see if they have a credit card that gives you cash back on your gas purchases.

If you use the Gas Buddy card to pay (linked to your debit card) it will also knock another 2 to 9 cents a gallon off the price. It also stacks on top of any discount a loyalty card may give. There is currently an issue with using it at Exxon/Mobil.

No, using apps drains the battery. I can go a week on a charge without apps.
How much do you actually USE the phone (calls, texts) ? If you use the phone for ANYTHING it is going to use the battery. It is not the APPS that drain the battery (though some use more than others), it is using the phone.

We use GetUpside. Amounts back per gallon vary on the day/time/location.

Thanks I'll check it out!

No Sam's club :( We have BJs and Costco but neither of ours have gas stations. Love Gas Buddy! (when I remember to use it.....)

Last week, received one phone call (spam) and sent/received 68 texts. I have a landline that is my primary personal phone, only 7 people even have my cell phone number. Most of the calls I get are mis-dials and a few spam. I'm working from home now like many and most of my phone calls are work related and we have a Voip landline system that we can use on our laptops, that is where the majority of my calls are made and received.
When I was still in the office I always laughed when people were putting out pleas for a cell phone charger. So much for it being a "wireless" phone

Like I said if you used your phone you would use your battery. The fact that you don't really use your phone is why you don't use the battery. As you have said numerous times only a few people have the number. This is why you don't have to charge it but once a week or so.

I use my phone for apps mostly - checking emails, reading posts here and a few other things. I also use it for alarms & daily reminders. I rarely get phone calls and maybe 3 dozen texts a week. I only have to charge my phone every 2 - 3 days.

If I used Map My Walk or Google Maps the phone gets drained fast. Less than a day. I have 63 year old eyes, I need my 17 inch computer monitor to ready most anything on the Internet. And I am always near a computer.

I have used GasBuddy a lot, mostly for finding low cost premium gas. Price differences are significant, even within a 2 mile radius.
