When you first enter AK, there are scarlet Ibis, the same color as the picture above. The regular ones are whitish, I think there are some in Epcot. Nope, there aren't any in New York. They're coastal birds, found mostly from Virginia south to Florida and west along the Gulf coast down to Houston and into Mexico. We see them all the time here. The pink ones in Florida are the results of ones that have interbreeded-the white Ibis with the scarlet Ibis. Except for AK and Epcot, I don't remember seeing them anywhere else. Sorry, I probably just told you more than you wanted to know about the Ibis, but I'm a birder.
