Hello Everyone! :)

I'm considering holding a bridal luncheon and/or rehearsal meal at the Gardenview Tea Room. I'm also going to give out my gifts then. I am looking for pictures for what the Tea Room looks like. Also, can you share your experience with the Gardenview Tea Room? Is the tea good? Food?

Anything they do that is special?

Thanks you very much in advance. :thumbsup2

My daughter's bridal shower was at the GardenView Tea Room this past February. It was very nice. You have a menu of which to choose from when you book your date and time. We had a variety of teas, little sandwiches, and fresh strawberries and pastries to choose from. It was all served very nicely on the Royal Albert Country Roses bone china. We could not open presents in the tea room though, we had to go to the lobby to do that as they would not allow us to do it in the tea room. I guess they didn't want to disturb other people dining there at the same time, I don't really know the actual rule on that. We did have help carrying all the gifts to the lobby area where all the guests were able to sit down comfortably in the couches and chairs. I think the cost depends on how many guests you have, we had about 24 people. I even arranged for the Disney photography to come and take a group picture of all of us on the grand staircase in the lobby.

I had my bridal luncheon there. Most of my BM's were there, and female family. I think we had about ten. it was so much fun and the food and service were terriffic. you can see menus under the dining section of allearsnet.com.

I booked the Gardenview Tea Room for a bridal luncheon the day before my wedding for all the women attending.

Here is a link with pictures of the room.

There are several menu's to choose from. If you have a large group of people I believe 14 or more, you have to have a pre-selected menu. If its smaller, your guests can choose what they want when they are there. I selected the Buckingham Palace which is $18.50 per person and I also selected the Mrs. Potts tea for the children. Here is more information on the Gardenview room

Tea selections are $5.95 per person

Custom Blends

Made exclusively for Gardenview Tea Room.

Gardenview Blend - A signature blend made exclusively for Gardenview Tea Room.

Princess Breakfast Tea - A sweet custom blend of South African organic rooibos flavored with vanilla bean and a hint of strawberries. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, and naturally decaffeinated.

White & Green Teas

The most delicate of teas: White teas are highly prized because of their consistency of top buds and leaves only. Named after the silver down hairs that cover the young unopened bud.

China green tea is known for its mild and subtle taste, refreshing aroma, and pale hues. The leaves range in appearance from silver to deep emerald. Japanese tea leaves are often brilliant green, reminiscent of the lush gardens they are grown in. They produce liquor that range from jade green to light yellow, with a fragrant puckery and slightly sweet taste.

Jade Leaf Green Tea - Hand picked then withered and gently dried for delicacy and a hint of sweetness. Naturally low in caffeine.

Floral Jasmine Green - Delicately perfumed with golden jasmine blossoms with fresh mellow overtones and a slightly astringent finish. Sweet, slightly tannic finish.

Jasmine White - Scented multiple times with fresh jasmine blossoms for a delicate aroma of golden Jasmine and outstanding liquor. Naturally very low in caffeine.

Black Teas

Fully fermented, gaining color and character from the processing of the leaves.

Osmanthus Oolong - Top grade oolong tea from Formosa delicately scented with rare Osmanthus flowers for a broad and unique flavor. Highly coveted and prized for its champagne aroma and deep rich flavor.

Imperial English Breakfast - Elegant and refined smooth sweetness. A blend of Ceylon and China Black Teas.

Russian Earl Grey - Inspired by the old tradition of shipping tea with lemon for flavor: Made from the rind of spicy Bergamot orange to give the exotic blend of citrus.

Eros - Medium bodied Ceylon: Sweet Mandarin orange with warm vanilla for a sweet, smooth and creamy finish.

Cassis - A rich black currant flavor for an exceptionally aromatic and sweet finish.

Mad Hatter - A blend of passion fruit, pomegranate, and vanilla for a clean and sweet finish. Perfect with decadent desserts and companions.

Herbal Infusions

A collection of herbs, flowers, fruits, berries, or spices from around the world. Herbal Infusions are naturally caffeine free.

Chamomile Flowers - A tranquil and calming herbal infusion of sweet and fragrant golden chamomile blossoms combined for a mild and sweet taste. Soft and musty aroma combined with a smooth, apple-like finish.

Harmony - A tranquil blend of sweet chamomile blossoms, peppermint, allspice and orange blossoms for a mild and sweet taste.

Lemon Verbena - Naturally caffeine-free, a refreshing infusion of lemon verbena, lemongrass, lemon balm, and lemon peel; a favorite during the summertime.

Jamaican Spice - A zesty herbal infusion with red liquor and a bouquet of flavors, tartness of hibiscus and sweetness of cinnamon for a sweet, tangy, and spicy finish.

Nobo Whole Fruit - Full bodied and rich in sweetness. An array of berries and apple, accompanied with hibiscus, rose hips, and cornflowers.

Vanilla Rooibos - Rich and full bodied with creamy vanilla finish.

Yes, Gardenview Tea Room's official policy is no speeches, games, gift opening allowed. Maybe because it's open to the lobby? Or it would make the atmosphere too rowdy?

The trigger for having to use large-party menus is 15 or more people, and those groups are booked at 2pm or 4:40pm. They also require a credit card to hold the reservation, with a 48-hour cancellation policy. Otherwise you get charged for each person at the cost of the menu you selected.

We are having a tea party there for 18 people and we were told it had to be at 3:40...we didn't have a chocie of other times (though I would have prefered the 4:40 if they had given us the option). Also, we were told opening gifts would be fine and we did not have to give a credit card to hold our reservation. We are having the tea party next month...:goodvibes

This is really great to hear! I always wondered why they had so many darn restrictions, so it's great to know they're loosening up a little! :goodvibes

I agree :goodvibes - they were super nice when we were booking! However, I do understand that things change for everyone sometimes, lol.

Really you didn't have a choice in times??? I picked 2:00 and they had no problems with it. I guess it depends on who you talk to? :confused3

I don't think I had to give them a credit card either. I can't remember though.

It is odd how different people tell you different things, though that seems to be the case with Disney quite often, lol.

Actually I had that happen today. I called the reservation line and the person I got wasn't able to help me with what I needed, so I called back and talked to someone else who helped me no problem :confused3 - I guess if you first don't get what you want find someone else and they usually help out, lol.

We also had a bridal tea there two days before the wedding. We invited the ladies to wear hats. The food is really great. We went with the Prince Edward's tea menu. I highly suggest their exclusive tea blend the Gardenview Blend. I'll copy some of the info over from my TR:

Here are the invitations that we used for the bridal tea. I know that the Wonderland Tea is something completely different, but I used the image anyway. None of my guests knew the difference :rotfl: and when I found it on the Creative Board I couldn't resist using it! We bought the tea bag favors on eBay and attached the Alice invite to the back, they looked like they were one thing with a front and back because I printed them to fit the squares.
