Hi,

What would the price difference be between a trip to walmart or gardengrocer? We have a car. My order would be around $150.

Thanks!

Figure about $30 in delivery charges and tips, give or take. Garden Grocer's prices are a little on the high side too.

But, you'll also save an hour or two of your time by having things delivered.

If you go to Wal-mart, you will know exactly what you are getting; no surprises with your order. Plus Wal-mart has a HUGE section of Disney souviners at very resonable prices. When we go to WDW with a car:drive: , we always go to a Wal-mart or 2 and let the kids go crazy on Disney stuff there.

We flew down in November and used We Go Shop and were very pleased with the service. Never used Garden Grocer.

Wal-Mart can be extremely busy and crowded in the supermarket side of the store depending on what time of year you go. Yes, they have lots of nicely priced Disney merchandise and is about the only place we could find Disney sweatshirts in October.

We prefer to goto Publix for our groceries as it is less stressful, the prices are good and there is a better selection than Wal-Mart in most categories. You can also find people to help you in Publix, which is a plus. :thumbsup2

We used Garden Grocer for an initial delivery in October as we didn't have a car until 2 days after we got there. It was more expensive but still cost less than renting a car for a day to go and get groceries. ;)

We used Garden Grocer last year and will use them again this year. The delivery fee is $12, plus if you want to give a tip (we didn't as they arrived before we did). We were very happy with them, and our order was correct and waiting for us when we arrived. Even though we'll have a car it is definitely worth $12 to me to not have to spend my vacation time shopping in an unfamiliar grocery store while my family enjoys the pool! :)

I placed our order on Tuesday with Garden Grocer for our trip next week. We will be using them for the first time, but I can't tell you how much of a stress relief it already is just knowing that the groceries will be there when we arrive and we will not have to worry about having to go get them. I also ordered some small room service/single serving sizes of ketchep, mustard, jams, salad dressing etc. from Minimus Biz to be delivered to the resort. That way we can keep the ones that we do not use in our Owner's Locker and not have to throw away bottles of half-used things. (Besides, I hate HATE hate Wal-mart. It drives me nutty. :crazy2: )

what happens to the food if it is delivered while you are at the park ?? do they hold it at the desk ?? what about perisables ??

Heading to Disney this May and using Gardengrocer for the fourth straight year! Great to deal with. Their website is easy to navigate. And if you don't see what you want, you simply make a request for it and they add it to your order. I believe delivery is free on orders over $200 and only $12 for orders going to Disney.

Considering I cannot stand Walmart and would go out of my way to avoid it at all costs, I'm going to say Garden Grocer.

I used wegoshop.com 5 times and I will use them again on our next trip. I would much rather place an order and have it delivered right to me than to shop on vacation.
Everything was perfect
Have a Good Trip

Another vote here for garden grocer. I have used them twice with no problems. I'll gladly fork over the $12 delivery fee not to have to navigate a walmart that I am not familiar with the layout, and the added hour or two out of my vacation!
