My family and I will be staying at the Anaheim Hilton for 2 nights for D23 in August. One of the nights it is conceivable that we may want to grab dinner near the hotel and Convention Center, something closer than Downtown Disney. Any recommendations at Garden Walk? Fire & Ice? Johnny Rockets? McFadden's?

I have NOT been to any of these places in Anaheim, but this is what I can tell you. See http://www.anaheimgardenwalk.com/dining/index.php?gid=13&rid=146

Bubba Gumps is fun, if it's your birthday they sign a cute song and have you get up and dance. The Mac and cheese with shrimp was amazing. McCormick and Schmicks was also pretty good, def an upper scale enviorment, and more expensive.

I would skip Johnny Rockets, the food is meh. Bubba Gump's food is good with a fun atmosphere if you're a fan of Forest Gump. P.F. Chang's has really good Asian food and the Cheesecake Factory has a HUGE menu so there's something there for everyone (plan on sharing a dish, the portions are as big as the menu).

We love Bubba Gumps. We haven't been to the Roy's there but Roy's is also a favorite of ours at other locations. We love sharing a ton of appetizers and salads and then getting the chocolate soufflé for dessert.

We always hit Bubba Gumps and Cheesecake Factory. We don't have those at home - BG is fun and DD and DH are cheesecake fanatics.

More votes here for Bubba Gump (fun theming, food OK, great with kids) and Cheesecake Factory (I still can't get over that menu plus the cheesecakes are pretty fine).

Ther other restaurants we looked as seemed a little more "grown up" and our kids are, well, kids.

Bubba Gump and Cheesecake Factory are always high on my list.

Does the Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim offer a Happy Hour menu? I know I ate in one that did and it was a super affordable meal (although the mandatory cheesecakes are a bit of a budget buster!). The food was OK...their cheesecakes are incredible.

According to the GardenWalk website it's Mon-Fri from 4-6pm.

The only ones I would consider in the GardenWalk are Roy's, McCormick's and Fire & Ice.

Bubba Gump and TCF are meh...... Johnny Rocket's is nice, but just a burger place.

If you want a great meal in Anaheim, go to The Ranch.

The Ranch sounds amazing - but pricier than I plan to spend.
