I think this would be a great idea for my daughters 14th birthday. We were going to eat at WGP that evening as a family but I think it would be great for a mother daughter tea. She said 2-6 I thought they opened earlier?? I think I am going to cancel WGP and instead go to WGP Express that evening and do some shopping.

Last I checked Garden View Tea was only from 2-4:30pm daily!

I think a GREAT mother/daughter thing to do would be to get facials together! You can schedule them earlier in the day. I know GF has them. Not cheap, but neither is the tea, right?

The tea doesn't have to be expensive. I get the Sally Lunn tea, which is wonderful - with a trifle and Sally Lunn bread with preserves, along with a pot of tea. It's $13.50 and I get a 20% discount with my DDE card.

A bargain at Disney, IMHO.

The tea is excellent and it can be filling if you get one of the full-service items (like the Buckingham Palace). It is really good and I enjoy it so much!

Wanted to do this last year, but had no time. This year we have a off day and its my daughters birthday so I thought I would surprise her with this. I want a bit of everything. Trifle,pastry's,Sally bread, Scones..everything looks good..

We try to get in as close to opening as possible. At dinner time we are usually still full so plan on a light meal that evening. The tea is more filling than you think -- and it is wonderful!

I think a mother/daughter tea at GF would be great for a 14yo on her BD! It's really elegant, delicious and something special for a tween.

Our plan: Grandmother/Mother/Daughter spa treatments and afternoon tea at GF while the guys do a fishing trip.
