Garden View Lounge for tea instead of My Disney Princess Tea for me and dd

What do you think? DD is 9 and will be turning 10 and I currently have her booked at the My Disney Princess Tea Party but starting to feel like this tea is geared at much younger guests, more like 5-7 yrs. of age. She might feel out of place. Would the garden view lounge be a better choice for her and I to do something mommy & daughter special?? Do you have to make reservations for the garden view lounge for the teas? Any help you can provide, I would appreciate it. THANKS!

Only you can judge what will make your daughter happy. I personally think it looks for younger kids but kids each child is differant. They have the Mrs. Potts tea on the menu for the main tea room menue for younger children.
You do need and ADR. If you are worried about the doll etc...why dont you bring her a special gift to mark the occasion that would be more a personal token between the two of you.

I'm sticking with the My Disney Princess Tea. She will only recently turn 10 by the time we go. I think I was just being silly with the age thing, because it goes up to 11 anyhow and I saw some other pics with older girls too. The age thing shouldn't even be a concern for me. It will be a priceless event for her and I to share on her 1st trip to WDW and I can't pass it up. Sorry for being silly

My DD turned 10 the day of the Tea Party. She towered over all the other little girls. She was the oldest and later said she felt a little out of place. It was fun, but my younger DD was more in line with the other little girls' ages.

I'm not sure how your DD will feel regarding the age thing, but my daughter went to the Disney Princess Tea last year for a 6th birthday present and loved it.
