Hello All. My new wife and I are heading to the Boardwalk Inn Late July. We booked the Garden room club level cottage. After doing some research we were able to view pictures and figured it would be a good fit for our honeymoon. That being said there is virtually no reviews or information regarding the aforementioned room other then its lay out. Has anyone stayed here before? any info regarding housekeeping, proximity to boardwalk and inn keepers lounge, and overall comfort of the room itself? It should be noted i did see there are 3 rooms within that category that do not have the front yard and picket fence. Are they better or worse? Thank you for taking the time to read this. We have been to Disney world before but have only stayed at the moderate hotels. We are hoping upgrading to a deluxe would be worth our hard earned money. (especially being able to walk to Epcot) Any info would be appreciated.

Haven't done it but I'm sure y'all will love it. Those cottages do look romantic. Congratulations on your marriage.

They are not at all close to the Boardwalk or the Inn Keepers Lounge.
The are downstairs and outside from the Lobby Level, so you'd have to go up stairs, through the lobby to the elevators and up to the CL floor.

In most of these, the bedrooms are upstairs.

DH and I booked one for our trip in Feb but after further thought, and constant checking for cancellations, I was able to switch to a Boardwalk view room on the CL level. I thought it would be so much more convenient to use the lounge if we were actually near the lounge.

Thank you everyone for responding, keep the posts coming would love to hear from someone who stayed in that room. Thank You Shanti, and thank you AngiTN good to know that the inn keepers is quite far. maybe that's why the room is always available

Hey all, forgot to ask about the construction. I called and they said it was away from the cottages can anyone verify that ? Thank you for taking the time and helping me.

Hey thanks again AngiTN quick question was inn keepers worth it ? How was the selection? I have never stayed club level. Did you get robes?

Yes, we did have robes.
And yes, we thought the lounge was worth it.
We are always able to make a breakfast out of the offerings
We even manage to make a decent light dinner in the evenings. Though that depends on the rest of our park schedule. It can be hard to plan to be in the lounge during serving.
The only thing I dislike, and this is pretty much universal in all CL now, they no longer have the beer out to get and take to your room for later. They'll give you all you want but they always open them. We like to take them to our room when we know we won't be in the lounge later in the evening and enjoy it when we get back from the park.

OMG LOL i was planning on doing the same thing with the beer. That stinks would have been nice to take a few back to the room for later. What about water bottles can you take a few of them? Do they even have them. You made my wife very happy that she gets to wear a robe (fancy) even though it will be July lol

We love the BWI CL and stay there once a year! The Garden cottages are very pretty and private. You will love being able to walk out to the quite pool that almost always seems like our own private pool because we are often by ourselves there. There is an indoor staircase set in the middle of the cottages that will bring you up to the CL lounge so you wont have to go through the lobby. The lounge is nice for breakfast and then we tend to stop back at the lounge before we head out to dinner to have a couple of drinks and some apps. The CM are really kind and helpful so don't be afraid to ask for help if you have a question, and in March we had no problem getting bottles of water. Our flight home didn't leave until 7:30 pm so we spent the day at the parks and then went back to the lounge for a lite meal before we left for the airport. They also printed out our boarding passes for us.

You will have a great time! Just try to set aside some time to enjoy the resort and all it has to offer. My husband and I enjoy walking over to play miniature golf, going to Jelly Rolls, enjoying the bussers on the Boardwalk and walking over to France to get some ice cream in EPCOT.

We were lucky enough to stay in one last December for 10 nights. We stayed in one of the 3 that didn't have the picket fence. I adored my room. It had a full bedroom upstairs and not a loft. It also had a full partially covered balcony upstairs. The power room on the first floor was a bit larger, too. Our room was black light clean (don't ask). Our housekeeper was exceptional. The room was always clean when we returned for an afternoon nap. The robes were nice to use, plus we had slippers to use. My Husband and I both cried a little when we left. Exceptional quiet and luxury. We never heard another guest - we did hear the Epcot fireworks though (and that was over quickly). I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Thank You so much Disneytam and MustangPrincess I appreciate you sharing your experience it really puts me at ease and makes me feel i made the right decision. We are so excited and have started our countdown. You guys made my night. Thanks again.

I just returned 5/27 from Disney. I originally booked a BWV Studio and when I got there, they said I had been moved to a Cottage Suite at the Inn. I was surprised since I was traveling on my own. The good--lots of room and quiet. There is a living room on the first floor with what I guess is a 60 or 70 inch TV, a little kitchenette and a 1/2 bath and a closet. The 2nd floor has the bedroom with another 60 or 70 inch TV, a large balcony, a full bath with jacuzzi tub and walk in shower, and another closet. All of these suites are in the garden area and the higher numbered units view the quiet pool. The not-so-good, it is not close to the club lounge. Like previous poster said, you have to go outside, up stairs to 4th floor and walk way down the hall to the lounge. I wasn't impressed by the lounge and by the offerings there so I guess it didn't bother me as much as others. I basically had oatmeal every morning and a little fruit--at breakfast, they also had bagels, other pastries; didn't really see anything else I wanted the rest of the day---small cucumber sandwiches, soft drinks, iced tea, cookies, chips, pastries, cordials at night. At this point having been to Disney so many times, I would never pay the extra expense for Club level. However, for people who are new to Disney, it would be great to have access to personalized planning for your trip. I really didn't need these services. All that said, I really like the Boardwalk Inn and am sure I will stay there again in future. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Inn too and the suite for your honeymoon since you won't have noise from the hallways and you will definitely have additional privacy. I would definitely not want a boardwalk view room for my honeymoon anyway. Have a great time and congratulations.

Thank you Raddisneyfan for sharing your experience. This website has been so helpful. We love hearing everyone's experience.
