Please forgive me if this is a pretty basic question. We are not big "make dining reservation" people, we have a special needs son and its hard to plan so far in advance. Quick Serve is our friend! But we are interested in trying for the dining package for Garden Rocks on May 12. We are staying onsite (with our DVC points, if that matters). Our trip starts May 6, checking out May 13. When is the earliest I can check for availability of this dining package? March 12 (60 days out) or March 6 (60 days out from our arrival date)? Thanks in advance!

MDE will tell you what date you can make ADRs
Sorry but I'm confused. All MDE tells me is that I can make up to April 23rd (60 days from today) was just wondering if I can go in on March 6 or if I have to wait til March 12. I guess youre saying that if I go in on March 6, if calendar doesnt reach May 12th, I have to wait? I thought if you stayed on site, you get to book dining on first day for entire stay, up to 10 days out

You can make your ADRs 60 days prior to your check-in date, so, if you are checking in May 6, you can make your ADRs for your entire stay (up to 10 days) on Tuesday, March 7. Also, if QS is your friend, why not just do the Regal Eagle dining package? It's walk-up only, no ADRs needed - I would just try to go on the earlier side so you can get the show time you want for that evening.

Yes! That’s what we were thinking but was under assumption that you need an ADR in order to get the guaranteed seating for the show and get some kind of passes, but I may be mistaken. It was listed as one of the choices for the dining package that’s why I think advanced reservations are required. It’s a $35 per adult price listed

Oh I just saw on a food blog that “you MAY be able to purchase regal eagle dining package day of, subject to availability”, I think I’ll still try for the ADR

Regal Eagle is walk-up only - you cannot make an ADR. ADRs are only for the TS restaurants that offer the package (except Spice Road which is also walk-up only). I've done the Regal Eagle concert package three times and have never had an issues getting a concert show time - you get the same guaranteed seating as the TS ADR restaurants. As I mentioned in my first post, just plan to go earlier in the day to get the package. If you are going on a day with a less popular act, you should have no problem. I've never not gotten a voucher.

Ok, I didn’t realize that. But I just double checked the list of restaurants and you’re correct. Being that this is a dinner package and If I was interested in the first show (5:30 I think) what time would you suggest going to the walk up window? I can’t imagine eating dinner before 4:30. Or can I buy a package at lunch time and get the vouchers then? By waiting til 4:30 I don’t want to be too late. It’s the ELO show … not sure if that’s considered “popular”, this is our first time. We can also do the second show if need be but would like to avoid last show as we have early flight next morning. Thx for your input 😊

Yes, you can get the dining package at lunch time (we always do lunch to have the best chance of getting the vouchers - we like the early show, too!) - hours aren't released, yet, for your date, but Regal Eagle typically opens at 11:45 am. I would probably try to get there by 12:30 pm. You need to go inside to order, specifically ask for the dining package and tell them which show you would prefer.

Perfect this is exactly what I needed to know thanks!
