Garden Grove dinner - restaurant.com question

Has anyone redeemed a restaurant.com certificate for dinner at the Garden Grove? One of the conditions is a minimum purchase of 2 entrees. Since it is a buffet, that is a given. I am rather tempted by the Seafood buffet , but it would be myself and an 8 year old. I wondered if it a child's buffet (which only costs $12.99) would be considered an entree in terms of the certificate.

I am wondering the same thing. I tried calling and the person I spoke to at the restaurant had no idea what I was talking about. It is still pretty new, so I thought I would wait a couple weeks and call back.

I didn't bother calling. It crossed my mind, but I dismissed the idea because it is the usual story: the answer can vary by who you speak to. Are you also the only adult in your party? I am not sure if I will get a reservation at this stage if I leave it too long. It may already be too late and the various buffets are on different days of the week so that reduces flexibility if you are after a particular one. I should possibly try and get an ADR and then get the certificate.

Yes, it is my DD6 and myself. I have the diner of the month program through restaurant.com, so I used last months certificate to get this one, so it is no big deal if I don't use it. Go ahead and get the ADR and hopefully we can find out. Restaurants.com should have a 80% off code in about a week or so.

That's what I am hoping. I just don't want to get there and then discover after our meal that I can't use the certificate because we dont qualify. I am on the QSDP for 15 days and have already booked 6 OOP TS meals.

I want to get the Garden Grove certificate, but don't want to finish my meal only to find out I can't use my certificate for my 2 children and myself .. how unfortunate would that be. Well this is not helpful to you at all, but based on the foregoing and the fact that two people were able to give me a consistent answer, I ended up cancelling in favor of another trip to House of Blues - which was AWESOME! I know there are no characters there but my 8 year old enjoyed HoB more than any other TS we ate at this trip. We used our certificate there - $35 minimum spend. I was under the mark so ordered a coffee I didn't drink and the check came to $12 plus tip on the pre-discount total.
