We really enjoyed the food, I have nothing but good things to say about it when it comes to all this restaurant. (food, servers, cleanliness, etc..)
Character interaction--if you are used to disney character meals, this is not it. They have 2 characters that rotate every half hour. basically, you see pluto, and when he is with you there is good interaction, but then after he leaves, you are waiting a minimum of 1/2 hour before the 2nd character comes out.
It is unlikely that the first character comes to your table as you are seated so I can take 1 1/2 hours to see 2 characters for 30 seconds each.
I would recommend this meal if you were staying in the hotel and were going for convenience and the food. this is not a restaurant for the characters.
And dont forget this in not on the dining plan.

Wow...menus for the various Garden Grove buffets look amazing! Got an ADR for next Monday night for the seafood buffet. Doing a quick 4 day trip without parks. Want to get to some character meals we otherwise don't have time for.
