Ok Talk to me about Garden Grocer...
In previous trips...DH and I have always had a case of water sent to our hotel...Works great, we stay hydrated, and don't get raked over the coals for the cost of water in the parks...
Now add in DS...who will be 2 when we go to the parks. We aren't using the dining plan--we wanted flexiblity with him, but would like to have some of his favorite snacks on hand and water of course...

Are prices competitive?
Pro's? Cons?

Give me the scoop!!!

OK, I am so bored I dug out my papers from our trip. From 6 years ago! :rotfl2:
I don't know how the prices are these days, but we ordered:
2 loaves of bread, bananas green (turning), a case of water, a case of Gatorade (we were there for a baseball tournament), cereal, ham and cheese (from the deli), cream cheese, Goober (Pb&j in the same jar), pretzels, 9 cups of yogurt, a bag of mini bagels, 1 gallon of milk. It cost $60.51 plus $12 for delivery and 3.41 for tax.. Maybe it was expensive, but to us, who all have different eating patterns and appetites, and getting out early was a priority, we supplemented with meals in the parks.
I would definitely do it again.
There are other delivery services (WeGoShop) and I've seen other threads where people mention Amazon and Walmart deliveries.

We are doing a combination of garden grocer and bringing as much food as we can fit into or bags. I think garden grocer will be worth the extra price, but if we can cut some of that cost by packing foods that travel well, then that would be even better for us. My kids snack constantly and we all want a quick and healthy breakfast in our room.

I've used them. I don't remember specifics but you will pay a premium for stuff. But I don't recall it being outrageous and we will definitely use them again. Our food was waiting for us when we checked into the resort. And cold stuff was bagged separately and in fridge with bell services. I definitely recommend.

We eat breakfast in our room almost every morning and we fly. DS also is 20 months and cannot have conventional milk products, since most of his calories come from his whole milk and other dairy snacks I have to splurge on organic dairy items which raise the prices. Our total with the delivery fee was $111.00

I just placed my order for our October trip. I got the following:

1/2 Gallon of Organic Whole Milk
6 pack Tropicana single serve OJ's
10 mini bagels
Cream Cheese
Case of Water
Cheddar Bunnies
Annie's Fruit Snacks
Organic String Cheese 12 pack
Bowl of Fresh Cut Fruit
8 Bananas (turning)
Juicy Juice
8 Organic Strawberry Greek Yogurts
Paper Plates
Plastic Silverware

We used them 4 years ago and ordered 1/2 gallon of milk, bagged separate and in fridge at bell services when we arrived. We also had bananas, I believe they allowed us to order green ones so they would be turning by the end of our stay which is nice. We also got snacks and water. I don't remember them being too outrageous in terms of price and really it was convenient and well worth it to have breakfast stuff in the room with our little one.

We used them when we went this summer. It is very expensive but excellent customer service and they brought or food to or villa and they unpacked everything for us. Next time though I wont buy so much as much cheaper in Walmart/Publix.

Thank you for the replies...this has been really helpful! I think I'm just looking for water and snacks...I'm sure I can probably pack most of the snacks in my luggage (thank goodness that DS gets a bag on JetBlue too...and that his clothes don't take up too much space!)
