Garden Grocer

This might not be relevant to the Resorts board but I will give it a shot. I am going to be staying at the WL and whenever I go there every year we go to Publix Supermarket to buy groceries. But I was thinking about ordering from Garden Grocer. Does anyone know what the quality of the food is compared to Publix. Where do they deliver your food to in the WL. Do they delivber on time. Please give me the scoop. Thanks.

I have used Garden Grocer several times and have been extremely happy with the quality of the food, the delivery service and ease of use. When we stayed at the WL in 2006, they delivered our groceries right to our room! When we were at the Polynesian last summer, they delivered to baggage services and they stored the food until we were assigned a room.

The items we have ordered in the past include milk, yogurt, cereal, cereal bars, WATER! and other snack-y things for the kids.

I highly recommend GG!

While we have not stayed at WL, we used GG for our last two trips and have been extremely pleased. We purchase lots of fresh fruit from them (I choose some green, bananas and some ripe, apples, etc.) and it has always been great. We also purchase diapers, wipes, milk, cereal, snacks, cases of water, etc. and it sure beats going to the grocery store on vacation! They were right on time with our first delivery (you have a couple hour window where they will deliver within) and for our trip this past January I had a message on my phone as soon as I stepped off the plane saying everything had been delivered to bell services. Our order has been accurate so far! Have a great trip!

Bell Services at ALL WDW resorts are very well-versed in doing this, and doing it well. They all have refrigerators. Services like Garden Grocer and Gooding's separately bag and label refrigerator/freezer items, so that the DIsney CMs know very well what needs to be kept cold.

It sounds like a new and strange idea to you, but it's business as usual for all of those folks.

I've done it twice, never a problem. On my most recent trip, our stuff was delivered to the resort (by Gooding's) in early afternoon, and we didn't check-in until about 11:00 p.m. Our grocery delivery was brought to us a few minutes later, and everything was in tip-top shape. Most of our groceries (when we get a delivery at WDW) are perishables, such as milk, OJ, yogurt, butter/margarine, cream cheese, deli American cheese, cheese sticks, etc.

WE have used them the past 4 times and have only had GREAT service. I was not aware Gooding delivered to hotels.!!

We have used them several times and they have been great. Everything was fresh and on time. We will be using them again.

Have used them the last 2 years and plan on ordering again this August for our trip. Can't say anything but good things. Web site is very easy to use and order from. Food was waiting when we got there.

I just used GG on June 17 and they were great. I had set my delivery time for 7:00-9:00 p.m. and we got into our room real early so I called GG and they were able to delivery my groceries in 45 minutes and brought them straight to my room and unloaded them. If we were to stay in a villa again I would definately use them again and I will recommend them to my clients.
