Garden Grocer??

Who has ordered from here? Do they ship alcohol and what is the cost of delivery? I was thinking of ordering from here this coming trip but wonder if it is worth it.

We love Garden Grocer! We have used them for the past two years and have had great experiences both times. They will deliver alcohol --they just don't advertise it. We ordered wine and beer last year and put what we wanted in the comments section. It really paid off for us considering the only reason we would be renting a car would be to go to the grocery store and take us to and from the airport. We usually call them after we check into the villas and they deliver it within an hour or so.

If you are going at a popular time, or just want to be cautious, be sure to order well ahead of time, say a month or so. This will get you the delivery day & time you need.

As mentioned, yes they do deliver beer, wine, liquor, but the cost of alcohol does not count towards the minimum purchase order of $40.00

If you want to compare an alternative, we used wegoshop.com. The lady who covers the WDW area is Marge, and she was great. She actually goes to any market you choose, and will get anything on your list. I honestly do not remember what the delivery fee was, but we compared to garden grocer, and we saved quite a bit. (mostly based on individual product prices at the regular market vs. the markups at gardengrocer)

We have also used wegoshop.com several times and Marge is great to work with. When we ordered in Dec. there was not a min. order dollar amount. She too will get any adult beverage that you want. They do tend to fill up fast during peak times so I would get my order in early.

We too have used wegoshop.com 5 times in the past and been very pleased with their service. Marge is great to work with.
There is no minimum order like at gardengrocer and you can specifiy which store they shop in (including Sam's Club) if you want. I found their site much easier to use than gardengrocer's. The delivery charge in October was $17, I believe. We EASILY saved that over shopping in Disney's stores.
We ordered breakfast things, juices, soda, water, coffee, beer, wine, cheese and crackers and snacks.
As others have said, both services get fully booked for busy times. I usually order at least a month in advance. I schedule delivery for late afternoon on arrival day, and Marge has always been right on time.
Yes alwayslisad, you prepare a list of items you want purchased for you and it can be delivered to you at AK. The cost is the cost of the actual items plus a delivery fee ( and of course a tip).

I'm so glad to see that they deliver alcohol. Not to sound like a lush, but Mama needs her cocktail... and when I didn't seen libations on the list, I was bummed.
