We just had an excellent experience with Garden Grocer. We were a party of 15 and my aunt was calling them her new best friend. "Brian" brought lactaid pills for my uncle who forgot them at home plus he delivered all the other items we needed that were not on his website. We did have some trouble with the site but he was such a nice guy that it made that okay, plus he said it was being redesigned soon (thank goodness! it wiped my sisters $250 order out twice).
Just as an aside, here is a list of things it was great to have and here is what we had way too much left over at the end of the trip.

good to have:
starbucks coffee
cereal and milk
strawberry banana orange juice (2 boxes)
apples and bananas
cottage cheese, avocado
swiss cheese, cream cheese, tomato and cucumber
strawberry banana yoghurt
frozen pizza
marble cheese and baby carrots
case of water - FL water: yuck!

leftovers:
pogos - we asked for vegetarian ones but he misunderstood - still nice of him to find them though - will be more clear next time
pasta, sauce, broccoli and frozen veggies - we love to eat dinner out at the restaurants on our holiday, and with a new baby we were too tired at the end of the day for preparing anything but convenience food at the villa - very unlike us but I have to be honest!

bring from home:
earl grey tea, crystal light packets, sugar, salt and pepper, and nut free cookies (Brian brought "Whole Foods" chocolate chip cookies, but at a dollar a cookie they were too expensive for a whole trip)
we brought raisins, low acid 100% juice strawberry banana juice boxes, and caramel rice cakes for the plane but Brian probably could have found some or all of this too
also diapers and wipes (they leave a nice amount of space for souvenirs on the way back)

I will just do a search for this message and reorder this next year... thanks Brian!

Thanks for the review. We're going down Friday night (8 of us) and I have an order being delivered on Saturday. Talked to Brian last weekend and he was so nice. Said he was able to get everything that wasn't on the website. I'm anticipating NO problems.

Thanks for the review! I have been debating on which service to use for our upcoming trip.

I could probably research other posts to find this, but what is Garden Grocer and what is the website? It is just easier to ask someone :goodvibes We will be going for our first trip home in Dec and would like to use grocery delivery. Thanks.

The new site is up and running - it appears to still have some flaws - it doesn't recognize me anymore when I try to log in - however, the great service is worth the minor inconvenience... and maybe that is the only problem and new users will not have any trouble.

Just to back up the OP, we had a great experience with Brian, too. He actually arrived in the lobby as we were checking in and then met us at our room. He helped unload everything and offered us a free second delivery if we needed anything else or had forgotten anything.

Everything in our order was correct, and he was great about finding some things for us that weren't on the website.

By the way, you don't have to be present to have your groceries delivered. Brian will leave everything with the concierge until your arrival.

Thanks for the reviews! We're planning on trying them for the first time in May. :)
