Garden Grocer Newbie - Help Wanted!

I would like to use Garden Grocer for our honeymoon, which is just over 2 weeks away, but I don't know anything about it! We are not renting a car, so we will be unable to buy our groceries.

Can you tell me how to go about ordering at Garden Grocer, and how to make sure it arrives at our resort (AKL)? Also, do you have to be present to receive them, or do they leave them with the front desk, or what? How does everything work?

I need details. Thank you very much in advance!!

when you log in at gardengrocer.com you first need to set up an account. Then you click on the shopping link and add things to your cart. When you are ready to check out they will ask you for your delivery date and a 2 hour window for your delivery. If you aren't at your resort they will leave your groceries at bell services for you. cold stuff will be kept cold for you. I think if you order alcohol you do have to be there so they can check your ID, but all other stuff they can just leave at bell service for you. When you return, just call bell service and ask them to bring it to you. You can pay online with your credit card.

As long as you pay by credit card, they can leave you grocercies with Bell Services. If you do order alcohol, you must have a minimum $40 food order first. If you don't think you are going to be there for the delivery, you can fax them a copy of your ID.

We used them on our last trip in April and they are wonderful.

I am planning to use Garden Grocer for our trip next year as well.. One thing that I have read quite a few times here on Dis, is to make sure that you place your order WELL in advance. Apparently, they only do a certain amount of deliveries everyday and I've read a few stories where people called to place their order and were told that it could not be done on that day

I don't see alcohol on their product list - how do you order it?

You put your alcohol request in the comments section of your order once you are finished. Be specific as to what you want as they may have to stop at a liquor store if it is outside of beer & wine.

You will have to be there to show them your id or they may request that you fax a copy of it to them.
