Garden Grocer if on dining plan

Hi all, we have used garden grocer in the past and have been happy with them. We are trying to decide if we need to use them again. We will have the basic dining plan. There is 4 of us, me, dh, and dd 6 dd 8. Staying for 7 nights at ASMu. We will NOT have a fridge, thought of ordering a styrofoam cooler with our food?!?

So my question is, if you have done the basic dining plan did you also need to use garden grocer and if so give me some ideas on what to buy........ I don't want to waste a lot but not sure what we would need with the dining plan as we haven't done it... thanks!

We were on the basic DDP in February and still had a Garden Grocer order:

2 cases of water
12 bagels
cream cheese
butter
cereal
milk
1 case of beer

It worked out great. The mornings we wanted a breakfast (other than the scheduled TS), we just made breakfast in the room. Beer is much cheaper from Garden Grocer than from the hotel, water is much cheaper than in the parks

I did not use Garden Grocer this July. It was me, DD 16, DD friend 16 and DD 12. I did buy refillable mugs and when we ate lunch or dinner at the POP we would get a bottled drink with our meal and save it for later and used our mug for our drink with our meal. I paid OOP for breakfast most days or used a snack credit- for some reason we can never eat all our snacks.

I was able to purchase a plain biscuit with a small chocolate milk for $2.43. The kids waffle platter was enough for me and I got grapes instead of applesauce. One morning my DD 12 had carrots and ranch (snack credit) or they have a really nice yogart with granola that is also a snack credit, cereal and small milk is 1 snack credit, and so is fresh fruit. It worked well for us because we are not big breakfast people and wanted a grab and go type of meal.

Closer to the end of the 2 weeks - we had more water than we could drink and were giving it away.

I am using Garden Grocer for this trip and we are on Deluxe...
I like a different brand of water than Disney has so I ordered 2 cases of water, I ordered dh an enegry drink a day as he is addicted to those dang things, Then I ordered some stuff I probably will NOT need but I had to hit the minimum order so I added some snack stuff and sunscreen (I had to email as sunscreen was not listed on the website that I could find) decided it was easier than carrying it with us.
