For the food - Coral Reef
For the characters - Garden Grill

Although, my kids DD13 and DD5, LOVED the Coral Reef atmosphere with the fish tank just as much as the characters at GG. They had fun watching that. Either one would be good for you. We enjoyed both. Do you have any other character meals? I guess I would make my decision on that.

I found coral reef to have really bad service. We went there because I thought that my boys would love it, and they did. However after waiting over one and a half hours for our food the novelty had worn off. When we asked the server about our meals, he snapped that he was busy!!! We would never eat there again.

For the food garden grill - your kids will eat more my 5yr old left coral reef hungry and the service was terrible
For the characters - Garden Grill the character interaction was excellent here

I say GG. The food was really good and the characters were excellent. The pic of DS in my signature is from GG.

We are giving Garden Grill a try this year. My kids love the character meals, but the buffets can be a hassle with three little ones. I loved the idea that the food iserved family style so DH and I can actually sit and eat and not worry about missing the characters while we are at the buffet.
We ate at Coral Reef because we thoughht the kids would love looking at the fish. They did-- FOR THE FIRST HOUR!! Service was really slow and the kids lost interest in the fish. Even a man in scuba gear couldn't keep their attention. We asked to take our desserts to go so we could get out of there. (We were on DDP)
If you have little ones you may want to consider trying CR for lunch. They may not be too tired by then and able to handle slow service. In the heat of the day a long relaxing lunch might feel good. It does have nice atmosphere and remember the food being good, but I have no recollection of what I ate!!
