I am a Disney Vet and have been to WDW more times than i can count. We have eaten in so many restaurants, but one i have never tried is the Garden Grill. How is it for dinner? We have reservations for our August trip for Rose and Crown (yummy) for dinner, Crystal Palace breakfast (8 am yay) and BOG dinner..we need another dinner and need opinions. (quick adults only trip, using DDP, jusk looking for good 1 credit TS)

thank you!!!

For character experience, Garden Grill is one of the best on property, IMO. If you're not in it for the characters, then the food is just okay, again just my opinion. On food only, I would opt for Coral Reef instead or a WS option.

Characters were great......meal okay. I was disappointed they got rid of the cobbler, so was in a bad mood anyway for the food :rotfl:
They now have strawberry shortcake...........and added mac and cheese and sweet potato fries from the children's menu all the time now. And raised the price

Our family liked Garden Grill the best of the Character dining places...Crystal Palace was the worst. CP felt like an all you can eat buffet at the mall. It was loud and the table/floor was dirty. We did have ressie for around 1:30 so maybe we arrived just after the noon rush. Still, we did not like it at all. At Garden Grill we had a booth and the characters would spend 2 or three minutes with the kids...they loved it. The restaurant revolves very slowly so always have something different to view.

We went last summer and really enjoyed our meal. The characters (especially Chip and Dale) were really fun. Personally, I am not a fan of buffet food. I don't like having to serve myself, and I am always freaked out people coughing over the food, kids helping themselves to a sample, etc.) At Garden Grill, the buffet was plated and came to the table. The food was tasty. There wasn't anything about the experience I didn't like.

Fab character experience, not so great food. I still think it's worth going though.

One of our favorite meals. We really like the food here and the characters are awesome! On our last trip, we were with a friend who had never eaten there before and it ended up being her favorite meal. She couldn't believe that she had never eaten there before. She loved the food!

The food is good IMO as well as the character interaction & atmosphere.

Trip after trip this is still our FAVORITE! We personally love the food (served family style) and lots of it. The character interaction is the best and we've always had great service. We have never been disappointed here and when we were there in Sept they still had the crisp but when they found out my daughter couldn't have strawberries (there were just the two of us) they brought us the crisp, these awesome cone shaped cakes, chocolate mousse, some white fluffy stuff (not sure what it was but it was great) and told us to enjoy it all! A few years ago we were there and it was my daughter's birthday (she was a teenager) and when they found out she like chocolate mousse they had each character bring out one and she ended up with a whole table of mousse! LOL Most of the veggies are grown right there in The Land and don't worry about wasting food because they recycle the leftovers to help power the parks. I thought this was cool to know.

We ALWAYS find a way to eat here my kids love it! The food is awesome IMO and the characters are really great! The first time we are here my son was sick as a dog. He's also a picky eater but he's even more picky when he's sick. Anyway he didn't want any of the normal food so our waiter went to the kitchen and brought him out something that wasn't on the menu to see if we could get him to eat. The next time we ate there my youngest was having issues with characters and it was all random honestly lol...he had problems with some face characters others were fine and the same with the plush characters some were ok and some not so much. Anyways Mickey tried to get a smile out of him for like 5 minutes! He was trying to play peekaboo with him and it was just so cute! On our next trip we are going to try and eat breakfast here. We are super excited about that. This is just 1 of our favorite places to eat and we love it.

We ate there for the first time a couple years ago and thought it was really good. The characters were great and since the restaurant is so small, they come around a couple times during the meal.

We thought the food was really good. The rolls are big fluffy ones, not the small hard ones they have at most of the restaurants. We really enjoyed the meats and veggies. The steak and mashed potatoes was our favorite and they happily brought out more of just those things. They still had the cobbler desert when we went and DH and I neither one really like cobbler, so they brought us the cupcakes that were the "kids" desert - they were very yummy.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Garden Grill! We have so many amazing memories there with our kids and the character interaction! The food is very good (nothing mind blowing amazing) but its a great dinner, relaxing, and we are all able to have fun and enjoy a conversation! We love their rolls and orange blossom butter! I can't imagine going to Epcot without eating there once. We are going in May and will be trying the breakfast!
