How is the food?

As with many WDW restaurants this one gets alot of mixed reviews. We didn't care for the food at Garden Grill - found it to be bland & unappealing. Here's the basic menu for GG: catfish, flank steak, turkey, potatoe casserole & fresh vegetables. If the menu is appealing to you, give it a try for yourself.

Thanks..doesn't seem to appealing. Perhaps we will look into Le Cellier or someplace else.

Garden Grill is a must do for us. It's my DH's favorite place to eat. He doesn't like any kind of fish, but, will eat the cod there..

It's been a couple of years since we've been. I recently heard that the rest. no longer rotates. Please tell me it's not so

The restraunt rotates. I ate there 2 weeks ago. I enjoyed the food too.

We have eaten there on both of our trips and enjoyed the food and characters!

If you are looking for a character meal that is less hectic than most this is the place. I have eaten there and have to say the food was good. Not great and not bad.

I would check out the menu on wdwinfo or allears and see if the food looks good to you. If so try it.

How are the kids options, my son who is 14 but eats very bland food... I am hoping we can get him Chicken strips, or nuggets while the rest of us eat off the adult menu.

We thought the food was pretty good. The character interaction is truly why we go but my DD loves the kids menu. She would eat there constantly if she could lol!

Take the following link. I did a dining review. Garden Grill is the first one we reviewed. You can see pics of the food you'll be served. I thought it was a good meal. I show the kids platter and the adult platter. Keep in mind the kids can eat off of the adult platter too and you can get refills.

Ate there a couple of weeks ago. Walked up. Sunday night before Memorial day. Loved it. Characters great. Rotating just fine. The salad was fantastic! We had two bowls. Bread was great too. It worked for us (three) as we each like different kinds of meat. Fish, Turkey, Beef. Each was accompanied by veggies/fruit. Very good. We also got extra bowl of the grilled veggies - think it was squash/carrots/something else. The potatoes were small redskins quartered and grillled. Very tasty. It was more than we could eat -- when they brought out a blueberry pie to share! We were just looking for somewhere dry to sit down to eat (it was a wet day) didn't even know it was a character, fixed menu meal. But we loved it.

while the food has been hit and miss for us over the past 20yrs I will say it would be one of the first on our list. Good quantities and a nice place to take a break. Also if one of the meats is a no go for your party such as fish just ask them not to bring it and bring more of the other meats. We do this all the time as none of our group are fish eaters.

I guess I must have bad taste, but I liked it. The food was good; not gourmet or as good as everyones favorite LeCellier, but I thought it was a step up from the typical Disney offerings, like at Chef Mickey's, etc. My kids are pretty picky eaters, but they seemed to like the food.

The character interaction was great--one of the best character meals I've been to.
