Garden Grill Rehitching Ceramony

Hello everyone!! The other day I came across some information about a "Rehitching Ceramony" at the Garden Grill after I already made reservations. The message said to put it on the PS so I will have to call. But to get to the point- has anyone ever participated in this and what does it entail?

I am going July 22-30th and would love to surprise my "not so into Disney" husband! I haven't seen much info about it and I bet if better known, a lot of people would be interested. (Even if it is just for fun and not "official")

HI there!!

My hubby and I will be there that same week celebrating our 20 year anniversary. We will be doing lunch at GG on our anniversary July 28th. And I'm surprising hubby with the "Rehitchin Ceremony". From what I've been told, Mickey and the gang of characters come to your table and get you to gether and get you "rehitched". You are presented with an official "Rehitchin Certificate", and I believe they serve you a special cake. It's all in fun, and I for one can't wait. Lucky for me, my hubby loves Disney and I'm sure he'll love this too!!

Have fun! Maybe we'll see you. We'll be the one's with ears and anniversary t-shirts on that day!

We are going to be at the Ice Cream Social in 10 days. Does the rehitching cost anything extra?

We did the Re-Hitchin' on our last trip & it didn't cost anything extra.

would they allow you do do the re-hitching if you were only married for say . . . a couple of days?
we're getting hitched with the mouse, and i would love to surprise my future bride with this, as we are thinking of doing the ice cream social. however, since it'll only be a couple of days, i'm not sure if the cm's would be like, "what's with them. its only been 84 hours that you've been married."

I think that would be an absolutely great idea!! As a matter of fact, I think its perfect!! I am absolutely SURE that the CM's will think the very same thing!! In fact, you might actually get more attention because of it!! Good luck, congradulations on your upcomming marriage and please, let us know how it went!!!

I booked this for August and my 25th Anniversary and Its a surprise for my husband. They said its only done at Lunch and Dinner not the ice cream social. It doest costy anything extra and she said to remind them at the podium when i check in.

We'll be there around the same time for our 25th. I need to look into this. It sounds really neat. DH and I went to WDW for our honeymoon.

Is this only for dinner or do they do it for lunch too. DH would love this.

My parents did it for their 25th. It wasn't actually on the same day as their 25th wedding anniversary. They don't card you or anything.

They did theirs during lunch time.

It was a fun experience. (My DH and I went down to WDW for a few days while they were there and ate at the GG with them when they did the rehitching thing.)
