We (4 of us) have enjoyed Garden Grill for years and I am wondering how it has been lately? We have reservations for early Aug and would like to hear from anyone who has gone recently. How has the food been compared to prior years? Has it been hit with a quality drop also?

Just had lunch there the other day however it’s our first time there so take it for what it’s worth. Food was pretty good. The bbq chicken wasn’t anything to write home about but the steak with the chimichurri sauce was above average. I asked for more and they brought a huge heaping plate of it so that was nice. Rolls were good to start and the Mac and cheese was basic but did the trick. Mashed potatoes were above average too I’d say. Characters came around almost 5 times I believe in an hour and 45 minutes there.

Do they still have the BBQ chicken? I’ve heard mixed reviews online with the menu changes. Debating swapping GG out for another EPCOT meal on Aug 1st…

We were there a few weeks ago, they still had the BBQ chicken. Overall everyone in my party enjoyed I would say it was above average not the best meal ever but was good for the price and the character interaction. We also had 1 vegetarian that got their own skillet they loved. I also found the service to be really good a lot of drink refills from the server on a really hot park day where we were all dehydrated. That was my first time but I would return, particularly for a character meal, I do have other restaurants at Epcot I like that i think have better quality food but I think it is a good character meal for the price.

I haven't been since the menu change to BBQ chicken. I think it's one of the stronger character meals as the character interaction is generally some of the best. (I really wish they would bring back breakfast since my husband still raves about the breakfast here)

My (now adult) children also fondly reminisce about that breakfast!

I am bummed about the turkey being replaced by the chicken. Still debating on cancelling as I am not sure my kids will be the BBQ chicken. I made the reservation knowing they would eat the turkey.

Yikes. I also made this reservation thinking it was Turkey. Definitely going to cancel now, my 6 and 3 year old aren’t going to eat barbecued chicken. What were they thinking?

We just dined there weekend or two ago for the first time in ages (I think I was 12 last visit!). It was delicious! My 2 year old loved the chicken, and we loved the steak. It was very tender and flavorful, and I'm very picky about beef. Veggies, dessert, and bread were all good.

The character interaction was better than any character meal we've done lately. They came around multiple times, took my toddler by the hand and walked over to watch the boats go by, etc. It was a wonderful experience.

Sounds like you really had a great experience. Such a cute thing for the characters to do with your child. Thanks for the review.

Well so much for the debate over GG. Had to cancel our trip last minute (12 hours before our flight). My wife just came down with COVID. Kids are devastated.

Ugh that's awful. Hope it's mild and you're able to reschedule.

Rescheduled for March 2023 during Spring Break. Next best time for an 8 day vacation. We may try to sneak in a short cruise before the end of the year if possible.

We have been there twice. Once a long time ago and this past December. I thought the food was much better than it was in the past. I’m going to book it again for our next trip.

Yes! We cancelled our reservation due to having a picky eater.
