We have 2 boys aged 4 and 5. One is a really good eater the other is a "kid" food eater.

Would you recommend Garden Grill or Coral Reef. I can get 4pm (is that considered dinner or lunch?) at either of them the day we'll be in Epcot?

One more question are Chip and Dale at the Garden Grill all the time or just during breakfast hours?

Thanks.

Characters are at Garden Grill all the time. When we went, we saw Mickey, Chip, Dale, and I can't remember who else (maybe Minnie, Donald, Goofy, or Pluto, I forget which ones...)

I've never been to Coral Reef, but while I know all of the kids in our party (12, 9, 9, 4, and 2) ate well without complaints at Garden Grill, generally speaking I didn't like the place. The soundtrack from Living With the Land was too loud and irritating, and it felt too cramped (especially on the higher level).

I've never been to Coral Reef, but GG is great for picky eaters. They serve chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, and fries for children. They can also eat from the adult plate with steak, turkey, fish, roasted potatoes and vegatables. There is also salad and rolls. Children get a dessert with pudding, cookie crumbs, and gummy worms, so it looks like worms in dirt. It is only open for dinner, and Chip & Dale, Mickey, and one or two others are there.

coral reef has some cool desserts and those glowing ice cubes in some of the kids drinks. i don't really like seafood so i think i had to order something from the kid's menu. the view of all the marine life it nice and it is a great place.

although, my favorite in the whole world is garden grill. i love that they grow some of the food right there. the characters are there all the time. the dining area revolves which is cool. i ate at this place as a kid and loved it and went back as an adult and loved it. this is the only place that i have to eat at when i take my kids on their first trip to dis.

We've been to both with my little boys, ages 6 and 4. Garden Grill only has characters for dinner, they are Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The place revolves very slowly so you get to see inside the Livin With Land area. The menu is fixed, and just OK food wise. The character interaction is great.

Coral Reef is a much nicer place. It has a huge aquarium where you can watch the fish. The food is excellent. I think my boys had pizza and then a make you own sundae for dessert.

We liked both places for different reasons. If you want characters, then try out Garden Grill. If you want tastier food items, try Coral Reef.

Have a wonderful trip!

We have eaten at the Coral Reef a couple of times. The atmosphere is great for kids because there is a menu of all the different fish in the tank that the kids are suppose to try and find. The food is really good as well. For our December trip we decided that we wanted to try out Garden Grill for the first time. My DD8 is a HUGE Chip and Dale fan so we are surprising her with this dinner. The food looks amazing there as well and we love the fact that the restaurant rotates as you eat.

Coral Reef! Excellent service and food. The wall aquarium is very cool. If Tony is still there, he's the best server we've ever had!
