I already have a ressie at Garden Grill but have been debating on changing it to Coral Reef. I was hoping for some opinions on which one you think would be better...... Garden Grill or Coral Reef?.....There are 6 kids in our group. I know the menu changed back at Garden Grill and it's a character meal so that's why I figured we'd go there. It seems that most people are booking Coral Reef though and I see very little mention of Garden Grill. Any opinions on either place would be great! We already are doing Le Cellier on another day while in Epcot. Thanks! :sunny:

I just wanted to bump this because I was having the same thoughts. I'll only have two kids, but I had seen some not-so-great reviews on both of these restaurants. My DD-8 thought the revolving restaurant at Garden Grill sounded cool, but I think she'd like to eat while watching the fish too.

Besides that, it's DH and my anniversary, so I could do the diver holding the sign thing at Coral Reef. Thoughts please?

I like Coral Reef, especially the NY strip!:thumbsup2 If you want the diver though, I'd get on this quickly, though. Debbi said they only do so many each day, and it's going around on the DIS board like wildfire. She said she gets about 20 requests or more a day. Good luck and have a great trip!

My son age 12 and I have done both. This trip I asked him where the one place he most wanted to eat at again and he said Garden Grill. He did love seeing the sea life at Coral Reef but I think he was more excited at Garden Grill between the scenes changing around him and the characters he just really enjoyed it. We felt the food and service was great at both restaurants. One thing I have learned is peoples opinions vary so much that unless you experience it you will never know if your family will enjoy it. One other thing to keep in mind is that Garden Grill is a quicker meal in that it is served family style vs having to order off the menu and wait for you food to be cooked and served at Coral Reef. With so many kids the sitting and waiting no matter what is happening in the restaurant can be a killer for them when they just want to eat and go enjoy the park. Then again the extra rest and relaxation in the air conditioned restaurant might be a plus for the adults as long as the children let you enjoy it. lol

I haven't eaten at GG, but I have eaten at CR. There are bad reviews and good reviews. Well I have one of the good reviews. We had a party of 6, and every one of us had a great time!!! We had a great server, Roberto, we all loved what we got to eat and you can't beat the atmosphere!!! We were in a booth right in front of the tank too!!! Alot of people said that it was loud, I never noticed. We're going back again this December and can't wait.

I love garden Grill. I think the food is very fresh and good, also it is a character meal. Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale all come around to the tables and spend a good bit of time. I highly recommend it.:thumbsup2

With 6 kids I'd go for the character meal and save some time standing in line for pics! However, we LOVE Coral Reef it was my DD's favorite restaurant at WDW.
