Sorry if this is old news - but Garden Grill is opening ahead of schedule. We just got ressies for 5/29.

pirate: A lot of mixed reviews about the new menu. We were thinking about trying it for our first time in October. Still thinking!!!

Will it still be family style or will each person order 1 entree. Deb's site gives the new menu but not if you get everything or have a chioce of 1. Anyone know if there is a seperate children's menu ? We will be there May 29th. TIA.

We have reservations for Saturday. The new menu sounded good.
The pictures someone posted don't look so appetizing. This will be an interesting dinner I think.

I went with an open mind even though I was extremely disappointed about the menu change. I usually love almost everything I eat at Disney restaurants but it was pretty bad except for dessert. We were told you could order an entree and if you wanted more after that you can order something else. I first tried the steak dish with potatoes. The potatoes were pretty good but the steak was horrible. The texture reminded me of a TV dinner, kind of a boiled taste?!. I ate about two bites and couldn't force down the rest although I did eat the potatoes. I then asked for the Red Snapper which was a little better but not much. This also had a tough texture to it like something that has been frozen. I'm sorry to say but I doubt we will eat here again. :confused3 And believe me this is so hard to say since we loved it before. The quality of the food now is so bad that I don't understand how they could think this is an improvement. The food they served before tasted so fresh and seemed to fit the Land theme. I do have to say that we all enjoyed the dessert (chocolate fondue, with chocolate and regular pound cake, strawberries, chocolate chip cookies, gummy worms and marshmallows (sp) ) and the atmosphere.

Gagebre, I was just as disappointed as you when I heard about the menu change. However, a group of 8 of us ate there Sunday and we seemed to have a better experience than you. I ordered the Red Snapper and not knowing what to expect, actually enjoyed it. I must say, though, that I have nothing to compare it to since it was my first time trying Red Snapper, but it was better than I expected it to be. The breadsticks and dipping sauces were good too, but then that's a weakness of mine anyway :earboy2: I think between the six adults in my group, all the entrees were sampled by somebody and my mother-in-law was the only negative review. She had the chicken which she said wasn't cooked well enough for her, but said the parts that were cooked thoroughly were good. Everyone seemed to enjoy the dessert - another weakness of mine. All in all, I guess I still miss the old menu but I think I'd be willing to eat there again. Especially since my favorite mouse is there to entertain me :earsboy:
