Hello All

I am considering Garden Grill, but I would love to get some opinions. The food sounds really good, but that could be misleading. Thanks in advance for any info/reviews.

We went in November and thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were fun and we were seated almost immediately. There was more than enough food and my kids ate plenty. It was one of our favorite TS meals all week. Oh and we were there for lunch.

The dinner with Chip n Dale was a great AYCTE meal and character interaction was better than most. Too much food for two people but they kept bringing me more turkey. Dessert was very good too.

Breakfast wasn't available when we went in Oct. We had a great time. It was just the 2 of us. Dh didn't know it was a character dinner until we got there. We were celebrating his birthday early before friends joined us. We had a blast. They had a small piece of cake with a candle. All the characters took time for us. They even gave him a card with the signatures.

The food was wonderful. We loved it all especially the dessert. The berry cobbler with vanilla whipped cream was the perfect way to end the meal. The flavor was out of this world.

Garden Grill is 1 of our must dos when we go to Disney...in the past we have done dinner, bc Breakfast wasn't available and we LOVED the dinner...the staff there are very friendly and accommodating and the character interaction is 1 of the best. When we went there for the first time in 2014, my older DS was really really sick, but this place was on his must do list bc he really really wanted to meet chip n dale. When he got sick we basically skipped everything and just went into Epcot for dinner at garden grill. We had to rent him a wheel chair though bc he was so dizzy :( anyways hes a very picky eater when hes not sick so when he is sick forget about it, lol. When we got there the staff sat us at a close table so he wouldn't have to walk too far and when the waiter came to our table he was super nice and understanding. When the food came out though my son was like I am not eating that. So the waiter went back into the kitchen and had the chef cook him up something that wasn't on the menu to get him to eat. It was so thoughtful of him and bc of how nice everyone was that 1 day...Garden Grill has now become a must do for us. The food is also pretty tasty in my opinion, lol. When we went last year to garden grill my younger DS was having issues with characters. It was super random though and didn't really make sense, he LOVED all the princesses but was scared of the mad hatter, alice in wonderland, and mary poppins...some plush characters were ok and some were not. Like I said we never knew who he was going to like and who he wasn't, lol...Mickey and Pluto were ok for him at Ohana and he LOVED Lilo and Stitch there too, but Mickey and Pluto at Garden Grill were apparently scary and he just started sobbing and trying to get away from them, lol. Mickey though tried to make him laugh by playing peek a boo with him (didn't really work, but it was really nice that he spent that extra time trying to get him to smile), lol. Anyways I just love Garden Grill I feel like the staff and characters really go out of the way for their customers. Next year when we go to Disney though I am excited to try breakfast at Garden Grill! Giving us another option for breakfast at Garden Grill opens up another door for dinner some place new in the world showcase on our Epcot day so thats exciting for us as well, lol.

I should've specified that I was going to book for a lunch. 2 people who can put down some food. Thanks for all of the replies so far.

I went for dinner last summer and it was a perfect break from the heat. I was trying to eat healthier on that trip and the Garden Grill was probably one of my favorite restaurants. Food was delicious. It was very similar to LTT in MK. I love the family style and the characters were very interactive. It also seems a little quieter and private than other restaurants. Just my two cents.

We ate there a year or so ago and really enjoyed it. The food was really good. I loved the rolls, they were big fluffy ones, not the typical Disney dinner rolls. We loved sitting on the lower level because it was like a private dining experience the way the booths are set up.

The food is good and the characters will spend a lot of time with you. We go every year and it is very consistent.

i'm not really a meat and potatoes kind of girl but i love the food there.

i also enjoy the seating and how the restaurant rotates.

and i found the character interaction to be the best of any character meals i've ever had.

The dinner menu lists fish that the lunch menu doesn't.

I made a reservation there for a lunch for our upcoming trip - you are correct about the fish - but I think that's pretty much the only thing that's different - and lunch was several dollars cheaper when I last checked on it (within the past month). I was told lunch was $40.46 per adult and dinner was $44.72 per adult (we're all adults so I didn't note children). I decided it wasn't worth the extra money just to add fish........sounded like plenty of food already. It will be our first time going - looking forward to it after reading how popular it is.

We have done breakfast & dinner there, and preferred the breakfast. No real complaints about dinner... it was just OK. Character interaction was fabulous both times. My daughter lectured Chip N' Dale on being nicer to Donald.

We loved it! And its okay if you don't like everything they bring because they will keep bringing what you do like until you tell them to stop!

Can anyone who's been to lunch confirm if the lunch gets the bread with orange blossom honey spread like the dinner does? About half the menus I've found list it but the others don't. (And the only response to my thread asking thought I was talking about some pecan nastiness that I guess was tried at breakfast before they changed to the cinnamon roll thing.)

Has anyone tried breakfast? My dad loves biscuits and sausage gravy, so I was thinking of booking it as our character meal.

My Pop loves biscuits and gravy and enjoyed the Garden Grill's very much. The only thing he didn't like was he felt we wasted too much food. He hates leaving stuff behind. We went in December- two days in a row- first day breakfast, second day lunch. Enjoyed both thoroughly, but I wish we had thought to ask for a doggy bag for the rest of the cinnamon roll- it was heavenly!
Hope your dad enjoys it if you decide on it. And the rest of your family too! Have a great visit!
