So I have a PPO ADR for GG on 9/24 and just found out the other 2 people who were going are not now. Is this a place I could go solo? I know its served in platters so felt I should have people with me. I don't want to give this one up if I don't have to

Maybe just ask for portions for one? Pretty sure I’ve seen people say they did that at similar restaurants on property (thinking maybe Liberty Tree Tavern)

Sure you can go! There will be a ton of food for one person, but go and enjoy it! It is one on my favorite character meals.

I’ve gone by myself for breakfast and it was no problem. It’s a ton of food, but I enjoyed it overall.

No matter how many people are at the table, the food is plentiful, so I would not worry. go and enjoy your meal!

I think you would still have to change your reservation to 1 since they state you need half your party to be seated so when you change it to 1 person they will know it and they should serve you only enough for one person so if they send out more than that then don't sweat it since you notified them. Have a great time.

This is addressed at check in. The server will not bring food until the table has been greeted, so the appropriate amount for one person will be served. I imagine there will be leftover, however that happens anyway.

It seems like you could just ask the server for less food.
That really isnt necessary, as solo people dine there all the time and the servers know how much food theyre suppose to give for one person. When you checkin they will ask you how many are in your party. if you dont change the number to 1, if you keep it at 4 ppl for example, they wont bring you food for 4 if they see only one person is at the table.

Many of my friends have dined there solo. its a great experience. The characters are so cute! Go and have fun!

I may have someone join me but I do plan to modify the reservation once I know for sure. Thanks!

Take a medium food storage container with you. You'll need it to the leftover cinnamon roll in. YUMMMY! :P
Are you allowed to take leftovers? We have our first reservation in December, and would definitely take leftover cinnamon roll if there is any! :dog2:

We've gone with two of us and we got a smaller platter, but still a lot of food, but we've had leftovers when there are 4 of us! I'd go! It's great food and fun character interaction!! :thumbsup2

It seems like it would be in Disney's best interest to bring a smaller portion to begin with and have people ask for more than bring tons and have it go to waste. I know I would prefer a little less and then when I want more it will be fresh and hot instead of eating more cold food that has been sitting at my table for a long period of time.

My understanding is that Disney will not supply a "to-go" container at meals that are AYCTE or Buffet. However, if you bring a container and the food is already at your table, you should be able to take the leftovers.

They have different sized platters/skillets for different size groups. My son and I had a much smaller one than the family of 4 beside us, so I wouldn't worry at all about the portion.
