Has anyone been lately? We have never tried it but I think we might like it. We have 5 kids and our youngest is 5, so I think for sure he'd love the characters. How is the new menu? I've been trying to find reviews and am not finding much. Thanks in advance!

We just went and it was so good.
It is family style, so they bring out everything and you just ask for more of what you want.
Two types of salad.
Rolls
Turkey and stuffing/dressing.
Roast
Mashed potatoes?
Polish sausage
Macaroni and cheese
Fries
Each person gets a non alcoholic beverage.

Strawberry shortcake and cookies for dessert.

Good food. We got extra.

Loved the character interaction with Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale.

We were there last Saturday. We only got one salad but it was very good. The bread and honey butter is still delicious. We didn't touch the fries. They should just remove them. They do not fit with the rest of the meal. We also got corn on the cob and a few pieces of greens, too few for our taste. The meat was delicious and so was the dessert, but the old cobbler was better. Our son liked the cookies.

sad they took away the sliced beef tenderloin and replaced it with pot roast. the fish is also gone and replaced by sausage... ughhh we love the setting and the characters but with the cost and the changes we cancelled it for april. The food used to be a bonus there! we arent liking the new menu

We do dinner at Garden Grill every trip and love it! I am bummed about the filet of beef being replaced with pot roast, it was our favorite and so delicious! Hoping the pot roast is good, guess we'll see when we go back in September. We love everything about this place - the food is good, the character interactions are the best and they come around multiple times. The atmosphere is nice - we always ask for a booth on the lower level. We love seeing the scenes from the Living with the Land ride and we feel the booths are more private.

Did they change the mashed potatoes? Last time we were there the mashed potatoes tasted like instant mash from a box. Blech. :crazy2: It turned us off. But we'd give it a go again if they are new and improved.

This girl is very happy they took fish off the platter. I'm not allergic in the traditional sense, but even smelling fish makes me sick to my stomach.

Very excited to have this be my first meal on my August trip!!!
only one of us likes fish and we always asked for it served on a sep plate. it came out not touching the rest and we were all happy! Sausage just seems like a cheap replacement and didnt fit with the rest of the foods.

We had this booked and I am wicked sad I cancelled it. I dont want to spend tons for 3 adults for the food to be sub par to what it was. I wish this werent the case. Once my son found out his fav meat is gone, well that was all he liked from the platter :(

Just smelling it does me in. If someone at work microwaves fish I cannot even walk in that area. Primary reason i avoid seafood restaurants like the plague.

I think I'm going to try to talk my husband into it! I think the kids would love the characters (even my almost 15 year old!) and the updated menu sounds like something we would all love:) thanks everyone for the responses!☺️

We ate here last Friday. It was still all very good but was carb city. We started out with the rolls, then the lettuce salad (recommend dressing on the side). We also got a bowl of potato salad, very good but not needed. Then came the platter of carbs. Large bowl of Mac and cheese, topped with goldfish, regular fries, mashed potatoes, stuffing and corn on the cob. I will say the corn was fantastic, it had been grilled but the platter desperately needed a vegetable. I'm a dietitian so corn and potatoes are starch, not veggies. Some broccoli, grilled squash or green beans were much needed. Our meats were turkey, sausage links and pot roast. In a vegetarian and I always love their option here. First it was a stuffed portobello mushroom, then a stuffed pabalno pepper, now it was unidentified grain loaf with a weird red sauce that did not go with ANYTHING else on the platter. Also, I did not like the "kid platter" at all. It's been reduced to Mac and cheese with fries. It used to have chicken legs, broccoli and sweet potato fries. The "adult" dessert is still good but they took away the adorable cupcake cones and replaced them with a single cookie with mickey sprinkles. So like I said everything was hot and fresh, I just didn't care for the abundance of carbs, changes to the vegetarian option and the kids platter and desserts

Is this lunch &/dinner?

I randomly salivate/daydream of vege meatloaf and sweet potato fries from here
I may have just lost a little sparkle if these are no longer available to me in like 46 days...
Not that I'm counting/obsessed or anything

This used to be our favorite lunch place because we always felt we got a good veggie fix and love the character interaction. My daughter will be disappointed but I will not be paying for this menu. That is no healthier than fast food in my opinion. This is sad to me, as we have had at least one lunch here on every trip we have taken. Oh well, we will do breakfast instead as we enjoyed that last year, and were able to be 2nd in line for Soarin.

Carbs, especially grain and potato ones, are the cheapest foods...veggies and high end meats/fish are not...this is a purposeful cut to the food costs, not an attempt to make the menu better.
