Garden City Event-Any Reports?

The one thing I found very interesting and intriguing was that they said there are a couple of new Disney Cruiseline ships being built and that there will be a new departure port and we should get ready to write it down. Hmm...could the port be New York? But then, they said they couldn't tell us yet because they did not know what that port would be, but while we had our pen and paper ready we could write down all the incentives for purchasing an add-on contract! Nice segue! I am interested though...I would love to do a Disney cruise out of NY! But I would pay cash for it, not do it on points.

I was not at the same presentation as you but the 7pm Sunday. I think I heard the mention of ports differently. I heard "ports" not "departure port".
I assumed they were referring to ports of call, not departure port. Maybe I misunderstood. I would LOVE to have NY be a departure port but I am not holding my breath. They would have to be long, 7 night cruises.

ita it would be great if NY is a departure port but I don't think it will happen especially since I think ships do not leave from here during winter months of Dec - March unless that has changed in recent years. And I don't see DCL doing this with either of the 2 new ships, if it happens it will probably be Magic or Wonder.

:)

Los Angeles! See my post. It's been reported by multiple sources. Los Angeles!

Cruises are actually leaving NY in the winter now! NCL has a 7 night Bahamas Cruise in Dec and Feb and a 10 night Eastern Caribbean in Jan/early Feb!

It IS doable....will they actually go through with it? I don't think so. Although I think they would profit very nicely if they did. So many people want to go on a Disney Cruise, yet don't want to pay to get to Florida to do it.

Time will tell....popcorn::
